The chalk stripe and double-breasted suit are made for each other. Take a look at the first, third and fourth pictures posted by Master-Classter... the look is so much better than the others. The only single-breasted suit that rivals them is Spoo's w/ the peak lapel. Going forward I'd say make sure your suit isn't overly striped and get the peak lapel if you're going w/ single-breasted suit.

My favorite suit is a blue flannel chalk stripe. I agree that chalk stripes are bold, but I like the look.

I prefer the chalk stripes in navy, in the first photo. A DB chalk stripe looks exquisite and you should be feeling quite confident to be able to wear them. And of course, never underestimate a really good tailor!

There is no other stripe than chalk. I love flannelly looking fabrics and teh chalkstripe just accentuates that even more. Yummo.

Spoo, that's much too bold for a chalkstripe, it's in rope stripe teRritory

I'm not too much of a stripe guy, but I like the subtle toned "chalk" and soft cut of Banis' suit.

That's no Isaia suit. At least not any OTR Isaia model which is currently being sold in the SF Bay Area.

I have others saved labelled 'chalk stripe' but they're probably more like a thick pinstripe really. maybe it's the fabric (flannel?) that sort of accentuates the chalk aspect by blurring the line whereas the ones below are all quite sharp.

Let's pretend these are chalkstripes but squinting a little... Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
