NYC Restaurant Recomendation for a group of 6-8 (reasonably cheap 70-100 per person)

A friend of mine is visiting and I was going to bring him and a few of our other friends out to dinner. I'm in college but I have a decent amount of cash lying around so I can afford somewhere decent no problem. I was looking to spend about 600-800 dollars on 6-8 people (no wine - bill will be twice as high). Does anybody have any good recommendations of places that cost about 100 per person (or less). Nothing too exotic. Last time I did this I brought everybody to Momofuku Ssam Bar and it went great (it was also fairly cheap like 70 a head with plenty of appetizers but I'd be willing t spend more).
