My daughter wanted to pick out my clothes yesterday. I let her and unfortunately she demanded that I wear some very old square toed shoes. She wouldn't take no for an answer. I felt shame all day.

Square toed shoes? This is what you get for keeping the darn things. I mean, what they heck were you going to do with them ... surely not wear them?

This sounds more like, "You know you're NOT a SF'er when"

you let your daughter get her way when she wants you to wear square toed shoes.

when you teeter on the edge of doing the minimal amount of work at the job, so you can spend the rest of the time surfing the forums.

I wouldn't be surprised if that was the majority of folks here. Imagine the amount of work that could get done if our employers blocked 99% of internet access.

One of the reasons I love my job - and there are many more - is that I would certainly get LESS work done if they blocked my internet access.

Square toed shoes are a crime against humanity...

I would prefer threatening my daughter to put her straight back to bed rather than wearing square toed shoes.

You know you're and SFer when...

1. You are wearing a suit and someone compliments you with some variation of, "I like your blazer" and you respond with something like, "it's a suit, not a blazer."

2. You are wearing a sportcoat and someone compliments you saying, "Nice suit!" and you respond by saying, "It's a sportcoat."
