I know there are threads for a couple of SF leagues, but don't believe we have a general advice and discussion thread. Since I'm not in either of the leagues, I'll put this question here:

12 team league, picking #2. 1 point for every 3 receptions, which is a stupid and annoying rule.

I think I've talked myself into Charles (operating on the assumption that AP goes first). Foster's hamstring scares me, and while contract talks are progressing with CJ, nothing's final, and I think there's an increased injury potential based on the fact that he hasn't been practicing. Can't afford to take a risk at the #2 spot. Anyone care to convince me otherwise?

For what it's worth, I got Jamaal Charles at the #5 spot in the SF Yahoo draft. This was our first 2 rounds in full:

1. Arian Foster
2. Adrian Peterson
3. Ray Rice
4. Chris Johnson
5. Jamaal Charles
6. Andre Johnson
7. Rashard Mendenhall
8. Michael Turner
9. Aaron Rodgers
10. Darren McFadden

11. Hakeem Nicks

14. Tom Brady
15. Michael Vick
16. Calvin Johnson
17. Larry Fitzgerald
18. Maurice Jones-Drew
19. LeSean McCoy
20. Roddy White

Hopefully that helps. Just as a side note, the computer did a lot of the picking because most people weren't in attendance at the live draft.

^Thanks. It's a bit annoying because I suspect I he'd otherwise fall a bit lower, as you suggest. I'm really between Charles and Rice at this point (if AP falls to two, I'll take him).

CJ2K signed and will start week 1 for Tennessee. Sucks that he missed camp and preseason, but he's probably the safest #2 right now IMO. But I won't blame you if you pick Charles. I had him last year and he was fucking awesome. The only frustrating thing is that Thomas Jones actually carried the ball more for most of the season, but that ain't happening now.
