I should point out that there were some kind of explosives in the outhouse and the truck. The .338 Lapua is indeed a powerful round, but a piece of copper-alloy jacketed lead a third of an inch in diameter and weighing a little more than a half ounce can't blow stuff up like that no matter how fast it's traveling. In the case of a 250-grainer from a .338 Lapua, this would be about 2,900 fps at the muzzle. This is fast for a 250-grain bullet, but not a terribly high velocity for a modern rifle cartridge.

Have nice day.

Hardly impressed by anything in this thread. .338 Lapua is pretty cool, but there are many more extreme cartrigdes. And if you want to see stuff blown up, youtube "knob creek" -- the semiannual machinegun shoot in KY.

His reviews are the best on youtube, hands down. Nutnfancy has some decent vids too, but he's a little bit preachy and less entertaining.

My favorite Hickok video is his review of the Kahr P380, only because 5 seconds into the video he whips it out of his pocket and dumps the magazine into something at point blank range.

I watched the video just now and was about to throw the bullshit flag on the outhouse and truck exploding. My second thought was "We need to get Jan to take a look at this". Thanks.
