Where in Germany can I get army sneakers? - Page 2

In berlin, you can find them in second hand shops, some retro shops and definitely army surplus ones - I posted a pic a couple years ago of a bunch. Not into wearing dead nazi sons' shoes so opted for margiela's. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

I recently bought a pair and the carton said made in 2008...

Hmm... now that I know that they are discontinued I'm thinking about ordering a backup pair. They are 25€ on german ebay, shipped.

Now run along and go back to watching David Hasselhoff.

They're probably knockoffs due to popularity. Obviously there is quite a market for them in whatever form as long as they look like the original white on gum ones. The BW hasn't issued the real things since before the Berlin Wall fell I think (any Germans verify?)

dunno if there are really knock offs as they are already quite cheap.

In fact they look very much like the Adidas Samba.

And I also dont know when they stopped the production. 2004 when I joined the Bundeswehr we still got them and after our 9 months of service you can keep them. So I think produced up to 2000 or longer

wow, they still issued them that recently? Interesting...

Wouldn't it be the other way around?

The carton looked like it was made for the bw... there was a name of the contractor as well, but I just threw it in the trash.

Im pretty sure they were still used in 2009.

well...if the Samba is like the BW or the other way around...I just said they are similar not which one was first (Samba was first produced in 1950) wink.gif

Could be that they still were used in 2009. I didn't even know they stopped using them before I read it here (or somewhere else)

Just asked a colleague of mine whose bf is in the army - they are still being issued. So no worries.

lol, that is crazy. They aren't really that great of a shoe (neither is the Samba) - I've twisted my ankle yet again in my margiela german army trainers today. They have no more athletic capability than a pair of Chuck Taylors. I can't believe a modern military issues them still, that is crazy.

well, bundeswehr is not a real army, it is just a bunch of jerks , they get paid by tax money for doing superfluous administrative jobs and pointless "foreign assignments".
i know some guys who "work" there, and they admit that they are overpaid and never do anything useful
the "soldiers" aren't even really prepared if it comes to a war, most of them are stupid as fuck and not in a good physical condition
