Assuming young, active male... Which STD vaccines, if any, are worth considering/getting??

Question for those of you who are more knowledgable/ experienced on the topic...

Which STD vaccines are out there that would be worth getting for a young, sexually active male?
Anyone care to share their thoughts/ experiences with the topic of vaccines? Or general advice on the disease side to even tell if a women isn't clean before you do your business.

I do know many STD's do not have a vaccines, but this may be worth asking anyhow. Really, all I know is the basic protection schtick. Would not trust myself otherwise.

Brief background points:

A.) I'm currently clean and without any STD's.

B.) I'd like to keep it this way (clean) the best I can, especially as I get older.

C.) This assumes the use of condoms with random hookups and a few fuck buddys that may rotate.

D.) Currently live in a college atmosphere, so although my peers are younger too. I'm not sure I can always trust these women, even if they're hot. You can't always tell just how dirty the people are as a whole even if young. Or, the women could be lazy/ naive about the topic and don't bother to get themselves tested.

E.) Refer back to point B again.

Maybe you should ask your doctor instead of internet strangers

There aren't that many -

HPV - but only if you don't already have HPV.

Hep B - Series of 3 shots. Ask doctor about any risks.

Herpes Vac is supposedly in trial testing but it isn't available yet.

Look up blue waffle on Google Images. If she looks like that down below (or anywhere for that matter) she's probably infected with something.

These are the ONLY ones. HPV one you have to be under 26 and never infected before. Unless you're a virgin or only had sex with one or two people, chances are good taht you've already had HPV.

Everything else can be cleared up with a single post-sex shot. Well, except for herpes but that seems fairly manageable to me, and HIV which is rather difficult for a straight, middle class, american male to get.

I still need more deets on HPV. I remember people showing pictures of warty vaginas with HPV and these terrifying stories from Catholic school about some little girl getting warts in her throat because mommy had it and fluid went down her mouth during birth. What happens if you have had it and get the vaccine? Any chances of nasties from the vaccine whether you've had it or not?

I understand your dismissive point, but I still see this thread has merit. In fact the replies so far helped make a jump in researching this area. I don't take everything I read on the internet at value. Its simply opinions, I can sort through what meets the need well enough. If it weren't for the internetz I wouldn't have known about trials of Herp trials mentioned in this thread.

Also, the last time I spoke to my physician he went going off about safe sex practice and failed to open up to the idea of various vaccines when prodded because safe sex should minimize the risk (inherently). He was also adamant on a consistent partner being tested... Well, here's a problem, the partners aren't always consistent, nor would it help me get laid for calling them out as if they were infected w/o knowing. He also threw in some religious-based advice instead of medical advice I could care to do without. Physician advice is meaningful to me, but it's not a golden word.

Will probably seek out another physician. Meantime, at the cost of their damn medical/ counseling bills, I don't feel like racking up insurance claims for the hell of it going from doc to doc.

Also, I'm interested if people from countries outside the U.S. medical sphere are aware of vaccines that may not be readily available here in the U.S. due to regulation, ect.
