Hey gang,

A search didn't yield much of recent vintage. Can anybody speak to the construction and materials quality of Apolis Activism? Especially the outerwear.

Much appreciated.

Saw that, thanks. Looking for more experienced and recent comments on outerwear in particular.

I've found their outerwear to be well-built, at least from the few pieces I have. Really love my chambray shirt jacket - great fabric, cut and stitching. They're very attentive to concerns of production, particularly worker's rights -- which isn't exactly your question, but does go to show the care they put into making clothes.

Meso- thanks a lot for that. I'm looking at some of their current shirt jacs. And I do appreciate hearing about their ethics; that matters to me.

I have their chambray blazer. It seems well made, better than other blazers I've seen at a similar or lower price.

I owned a waxed cotton jacket from F/W '08. Loved the details and it seemed constructed well enough, though I wouldn't have paid retail on it ($400+).

They sort of lost me on the ethics front with the whole "limited edition" briefcase nonsense a couple of years ago.

really? people still going on about this? the product did well, it was a small release, they decided to re-issue it. not unheard of in the fashion industry. additionally, the briefcase sold out AGAIN, it was a great partnership. Look at what the brand stands for, what it has accomplished, and how it has taken transparent business to a whole new level - young businesses new to the industry make errors, I don't think that's fair enough reason to blackball an entire company, especially one that does so much good. and puts out so much kick-ass product. two years should be enough time for all the bitter briefcase owners to grow up.
