Barker shoe polishing question

Hi all,

I recently bought a pair of Barker 'Exeter' shoes made from rosewood calf. Now I come to polish them I realise I have no idea what to colour to use on them. I could use neutral of course but that's not much use if I ever need to cover up a scuff. I phoned barker to ask what they would recommend but they said they don't stock any polish for this type of leather and that I should use either neutral or some kind of leather cream. They also advised me not to polish them often or they would lose their colour over time and turn into cedar coloured shoes(!).

I'm not really satisfied with this answer so I was wondering if anyone on here could recommend a brand of polish that stocks a suitable colour. Or perhaps layering a few few different colours which when mixed would offer a close match. I stole a picture off of the internet to give you guys a idea of what the shoes currently look like.

Thanks

Oh man I just bought the Grenoble (also Rosewood colour) and polished it with neutral polish recently and the colour came off? Pretty sure I wasnt doing it any different from how I polish my other shoes.

it's a gorgeous shoes but such a shame there isn't the right tone. Don't know if you've found a solution already - would love to know if you have.

Otherwise, any gurus out there with infinite shoe wisdom to share to help us out - much appreciated.
