NO PURCHASE CLUB for SEPTEMBER 2011 - Page 9

I think there are very few people on these forums who actually NEED any more clothes. The NPC is a good time to realize. Without purchasing anything you are probably still better dressed and stocked than 90% of the population.

True, but I'm also realizing as the season change significant holes - in the last week, twice I've thought, "I could really use a PS with some fall colors in it for this outfit" and "I could really use a navy knit tie with this outfit"...not that I can't still come up with something that I like and I know people aren't pointing at me saying, look at that moron wearing that PS with that jacket, doesn't he know he needs some fall colors instead...but the NPC has helped me think more about these items that I would actually be using a lot rather than just buying on whims things that I think look great

This, but it's not to do with pocketsquares.

You must have been buying very, very similar PSs to have 7 which don't cover most things.

For me it's decent winter outerwear, and a summer suit.

Some are similar, yea. There are definitely some I could have chosen better. I've got:

-white linen
-white linen sky blue tipped
-mauve linen white tipped
-white silk with brown paisley
-white silk with green plaid
-black silk with cream dots
-burgundy silk with cream pindots

And with that...gentlemen, help me stave off my intense desire for the tapestry PSs at Ben Silver, and the ancient madders now in Will's ASW store...

I completed my NYC trip without making any purchases (save food). Very proud of myself. Was staying at 52nd and Madison, where there's plenty of places to shop. After that trip, I think the rest of the month will be a breeze.

Yes, true. sadly, I only had 3 pairs of winter pants (cords/moleskins), so I bought two more.

I'm still in. I bought my 4 yr old son some Hickey Freeman but the NPC only applies to me right?

Be honest...was there an actual emergency that prompted this expenditure?

i caved purchased 2 underwear from uniqlo, but underwear for $2.90 each. sorry couldnt pass up a deal like that

there's no way that a pocketsquare could be considered in the case of an emergency. even jeans are doubtful.

Just bought a Raf Simons x Fred Perry polo. Not really an emergency, but brought a total of one polo with me to college this fall so maybe it could be considered? Came out to $26 shipped so not too much...
