Harry & Sons Ike Behar Dolce & Gabanna Couture Poggianti Robert Talbott Joseph Abhoud Michael Kors Ben Sherman Stacy Adams Could you all rate/comment on the above brands(if you have experience w/them? I own a piece from each of the above....so I was interested in your input) These are just a sampling of different brands at different levels and I did used the search function, but nothing that consolidated views on these. We've had threads on leathers, suits, and shoes as of late...was wondering if you all could share your thoughts on these shirt brands (something other than zegna, or armani) Also please let me know of more high end clothiers for shirts as you did for me regarding suits(I know Brioni custom makes shirts too..so I'm sure there are more like them) Thanks. I did use the search function, and as I indicated in my first post, some didn't come up and others did..and nothing consolidated came up(as expected) and I wasn't satisfied w/the search results and was looking for a fresh perspective as of late.

Sorry, I missed that But, shirts are all about fit and comparing RTW is a bit pointless, unless one is looking for a finely made shirt, of great fabric, that fits poorly.

Yeah, I was just looking more for build quality experiences from other members regarding the shirt...of course fit/finish is done bespoke or custom alterations.

I just wanted to know people's experiences w/the materials of the above brands.

Some were quite impressive to me(Poggianti, Harry & sons...Robert Talbott)..and some not(Michael Kors)...so was wondering if others experienced the same..

Talbott makes a good shirt, although I think they're making offshore now. I don't know about their non-USA made shirts. Behar makes a decent shirt. Buy on discount (not hard to do). Abboud is okay. Also buy on discount. Harry & Sons is an Italian brand that has been selling through TJ Maxx the past couple of years. They seem decent.

None of the above, save for some ranges of Talbott, are at the higher end of shirts. That's not to say they can't be useful.

I'll have to agree mightily on this one w/you AlanC. My talbott shirt was made in carmel, california and it has held up VERY NICELY over the two years I've had it.

I think the Poggianti shirt is pretty good too. I'm lookiing into the Anna Matuozzo's now (since reading the threads)....but I think for my lifestyle, these shirts do just fine(Until I get in touch w/Anna!)

Thanks for the post!

I know i plug the online sellers a lot, but I hate to see people paying retail for ike behar, dolce and gabbana, and other shirts when they could get a superior shirt for

Ike Behar- I dont own anything from this brand although a lot of people here seem to like their quality. Some people here like their tie's a lot.

Dolce & Gabanna - overpriced shit quality clothing. rip off like no other. Although i do own a pair of sunglasses from them that has taken beating after beating and still in new condition. so their sunglasses must be quality stuff. Other than that i'd spend my money elsewere.

Ben Sherman - I dont know the quality on the stiching that i have seen on their stuff at stores has always been poor quality to me.

Stacy Adams - Same with stacy, i have seen some really poor quality stuff from stacy, this was about 5 years back. I saw consistant super poor quality stuff being sold at stores. So since then i dont even bother to stop to look at their shoes or anything with this brand name. Unless they did a brand overhaul i'd stay away.

I wouldn't buy ANY of them.

Charvet, Borrelli, Kiton, Finamore, Barba, Stefano Ricci; all make better shirts than Brioni.

There are many, many shirts better than Brioni.
