Engagement photos: why??? - Page 2

^Most annoying facebook people fall into the "people who only post about one subject, but post about it over and over" category. Subcategories I have encountered include only posting about how much you miss your best friend who passed away > a year ago, only posting dozens of pictures of your baby, only posting about your toddler's accomplishments in a thinly veiled attempt to brag about how smart you think they are, only posting ultra-religious bullshit, and only posting about how much you hate (insert government party). I'm sure there are others.

^ Yeah, it's almost as if Facebook was created for the exact purpose of sharing things in life that you find interesting or entertaining to people you're friends with.

^It is almost like that, and it's fucking annoying.

What's awful about engagement photos is that 99% of them are:

  1. Photographed by a terribly photographer who doesn't know how to fucking take good photos.
  2. Cheesy as fuck.

I believe they're mostly intended to be used in the wedding printed materials/website. Just in case the people you're inviting to your wedding have forgotten what you look like. baldy[1].gif

The way to reconcile these two statements is to realize that most people are fucking annoying and self-absorbed, and Facebook just takes the filters off

THIS THIS THIS THIS THIS THIS THIS THIS THIS THIS.

But then again I'm pretty fucking annoying and self-absorbed too, so I kind of enjoy hearing about others self-absorptions and then feeling better about myself.

^Thomas is a good facebook poaster. He poasts on a range of topics.

Just don't be one dimensional, is all I'm saying.
