are Oakleys okay for office and daily wear? - Page 4

You realize there are Oakleys out there that aren't the half-jacket or mp3 bedazzled things right? I don't see what's wrong with some of their wire frames.

I am also quite light sensitive, so they help prevent me from getting migraines: they are the darkest lenses I have found - if you can find me a pair of sunglasses that have <10% light transmission and are polarized, I am open to suggestions.

there are many, but Maui jims is one

The wired ones are fine for daily use.

If you are military/gov you can buy direct through Oakley's special program: usstandardissue.com.
The prices are usually significantly lower than retail and a few extra upgrades (e.g. ballistic lenses).

That being said, I think the conventional wisdom would be that Oakleys are a little played out now anyway..."Hello, the 90's are calling and they'd like their sunglasses back"... it's one thing if you're a fairly serious biker or in-line skater but otherwise, aviators and bigger sunglasses have made more of a comeback lately.

OK, so six years ago I was not a fan...

but today I bought a pair of Oakley half jackets smile.gif

I think my style is evolving.

I have a pair of flak jackets that I use for running and FD slaving, pretty much for anything that I need a pair of beater sunglasses for.

I would never wear them just to walk around, they would look out of place.

it depends from the kind of your office.

I work in a bank and if I go with my suit with oakley sure my colleagues would ask me if I'm OK
