Paramount has slated its pricy adaptation of World War Z for theatrical release on December 21st of next year. Director Marc Forster’s cinematic take on Max Brooks’ post-zombpocalyptic novel is being headlined by Brad Pitt – with some admirable names rounding out the supporting cast.

it could be really good or it could really really suck. I think the way the book was written makes for an easy movie , however Hollywood is known for fucking up a sure thing.

From what I understand they will change the format of the book, and it will be in "real time" instead of flashbacks. I loved the book so I am looking forward to this. And the scenes in the photos above seem like the Israeli border sequence.

The interviewing process explains and a lot and ties in the story so that NO ONE in Hollywood can fuck up the potential. Havig it real time could be cool but could really fuck things up.
I hate hollywood.

This would be so much better as a miniseries - have each of the interviews be a story, or something like that.

I'm half excited, half terrified. They better not fuck this up

+1

There are so many ways this could go sideways. It'll be difficult to keep audiences engaged if all we get is 10 minute "episodes" that all end with the protagonists getting overrun and eaten.

+1 on the miniseries. HBO could have crushed it.

Yeah, he could be in a lot more blockbusters. Instead, he chooses stuff like Tree of Life
