Damaged AE's on Ebay for reduced price: Opinions?

Because I'm living in the Louisiana for a brief period, I'm loving this pair of AE's.

However, note that there is a small tear on the side of the shoe. Aesthetically, it doesn't seem to be a huge deal. Does anyone think this is an issue for the longevity of the shoe?

Frankly for that price, I don't think it's worth it.

too expensive for the damage pictured.

At what price do you think it would be worth it? (the "best offer" option is enabled here)

I'm saying maybe $100, $120 max.

I think it is a fatal flaw. Pass.

Thing is, that tear looks as though it will only get worse over time.

Thanks for the feedback. Maybe I'll offer something much, much lower than the asking price and see if the seller bites. If not, better deals will come.

Those are nasty even if they were A1 mint.

I owned a pair of AE (forget the name) that were completely woven leather. Those were nice.

Even at a $100, I'd pass. Stitching that's slightly off, or a small discoloration I can live with. With a tear like that, I don't see it as easily repairable, and it looks like something that'll get worse over time.
