Damaged AE's on Ebay for reduced price: Opinions?

Thing is, that tear looks as though it will only get worse over time.

Thanks for the feedback. Maybe I'll offer something much, much lower than the asking price and see if the seller bites. If not, better deals will come.

Those are nasty even if they were A1 mint.

I owned a pair of AE (forget the name) that were completely woven leather. Those were nice.

Even at a $100, I'd pass. Stitching that's slightly off, or a small discoloration I can live with. With a tear like that, I don't see it as easily repairable, and it looks like something that'll get worse over time.
