The thing about the Carreducker blog that makes it truly outstanding is that they are very generous. Their focus is on preserving and passing on the Trade, not just self-promotion.

Frankly, I think the blog is the best one devoted to shoemaking on the Internet if only because it is updated every week and James takes the time to explain things fully and carefully.

I've read all his posts going back for several years and while I may do a few things slightly different, I've never seen bad advice or misinformation given.

Wow! Praise indeed DW. It means a lot to read your comment. You have got us just right too. We love this trade and want to get other people into shoemaking. We firmly believe in sharing knowledge to preserve it.

And while the knowledge may be given away, I'm afraid that's the only thing we give for free - no such thing as a free shoe!
