Timex Weekender Collection (J Crew Timex Like Watches and $6 Bands) - Page 4

I've got a Seiko 5 Military style watch, and it's a solid everyday watch but sometimes you get lazy about winding it if you don't wear it for a few days. This is a good looking, cheap alternative, and who knows... this Timex might jumpstart the wearer's appreciation for finer watches. Win win for both crowds.

Also, has anybody handled the metal strap versions?

Target looks to be the cheapest place to pick them up. All are less than $35.

Yes, but bear in mind that Target is evil.

The Timex watches are great examples of a decent watch for low cost.

Seiko 5 get tons of love for the ~100 range, but I would rather buy an Eco Drive. The Seiko 5 is a great watch, but it can be hit or miss.

I am not a big fan of Target these days either.
The only thing I pick up at Target these days are cheap "Athletic Fit" tees, polos, henleys,....(<$5 on clearance).

But what is wrong with Target? Honestly, over the years, Target > Walmart

It just seems more clean and sophisticated for whatever that means in respective to these two larger retailers

Fair enough, how about, they are making a huge profit on selling both!

Maybe they are just talking about their clothing and accessories...which I tend to not have any interest in. Occasioally they have some good basics and a few years back they had some 100% wool and khaki cotton suits that had a nice cut to them. They didn't work with my chest but a lot of people were buying the cotton ones for a more casual suit and recommending the wool ones for basic suits for people on a budget who would only wear them rarely.

For their normal goods...they are great.

Yeah, I assume they are doing pretty well on both.
