Seems Paula is fighting back. I'm sorry, while Bourdain has his faults, picking on Rachel Ray is not a fault IMO. Actually, anyone on the list.

He did change his tune about Emeril though which proves...well, something.

Would've thought someone like her would get it. He's Anthony Bourdain. This is why people like him. Its kind of like getting offended by Stephen Colbert, though thats a bit more obvious.

Anthony was over the line. It something to make fun of a friend, but it doesn't sounds like they are. I would be offended too, even though I understand Bourdain's personality.

culinary gossip like this is one of the dumbest things I know

He read my mind:
Quote:
And Fieri: “I look at Guy and I just think, ‘Jesus, I’m glad that’s not me.’ ”

While I don't necessarily disagree with him, let's keep in mind he is at best a B team chef who ran a steak frites place.

Saw this too.

Humbled but unapologetic, Bourdain tweets: "Resolved: Next time I'm asked (for the millionth time) who the worst cooks on Food Network are, I'll just shut up. Who cares?"

Makes sense to me. You can't really disagree with him, and it's annoying being asked the same questions over and over.

Some of the responses at the bottom are kind of funny.

To his credit, I don't think(?) he's ever claimed to be anything more than that.

“My good friends Rachael, Guy and Sandra are the most generous charitable folks I know. They give so much of their time and money to help the food-deprived, sick children and abandoned animals. I have no idea what Anthony has done to contribute besides being irritable.”

Paula Deen: 1 point
Quote:
“The worst, most dangerous person to America is clearly Paula Deen. She revels in unholy connections with evil corporations and she’s proud of the fact that her food is fucking bad for you . . . plus, her food sucks.” About Ray: “Does she even cook anymore? . . . To her credit, she never said she was good at it.” On Lee: “I hate her works on this planet, but she is not someone to be dismissed, clearly.” And Fieri: “I look at Guy and I just think, ‘Jesus, I’m glad that’s not me.’ ”

Anthony Bourdain: 6 points - 1 points for the "not to be dismissed" thing about Sandra Lee + 100 bonus points for the Guy Fieri comment = 105 points.

Game, set match.

I think Eric has scored this correctly. First of all - none of this was out of character for Bourdain who openly hates the food network.

Guy Fieri and Adam Richman are one in the same... Both were pathetic nerds in high school who someone found a niche in the food world and try desperately hard to use that niche to be "cool". I hate Guy Fieri's schtick, but I hate both Richman's shtick and the fact that the places he features on his show are complete crap. I've visited some of the places he features (by chance). If you serve Sysco frozen, processed crap and want to get on that show, all you have to do is have some kind of contest or challenge.

Yes this is something he's always made clear.
