Clarks brown suede DBs

I just got some brown suede Clarks DB's. Should I water proof them? I got this kit:

Any advice is appreciated... first pair of suede shoes.

Also, will these stretch? I got them a bit snug...

I spray waterproofing spray on my suede that is more expensive than Clark DBs.... so I wouldn't have an issue doing it with those.
