well, you see, a large number of people placed orders prior to today's deal, at the behest of j. crew's urging, with the assumption that if they didn't take advantage of the prior offer, they would be "losing out", so to speak
on the contrary, j. crew intended to take advantage of these people by ushering in as many as possible, and then capitalizing on sales of individuals who wouldn't buy  at 25% off with a $150 minimum BUT  at 25% off with NO minimum.
therefore, j. crew's prior marketing was duplicitous in tone and was conveyed to customers in bad faith, ie, basically to "fuck them over"

side note no, i wasn't one of those people who ordered before today (or even today, for that matter), but that doesn't mean i can't point out what was an obvious lapse in good faith customer relations
