One of my best friend & his wife just visited me here a couple of weeks ago. During their stay, his wife mentioned that she would like to buy his husband (who is my best friend) an expensive watch. But they know little about watches, yet they have loads of money 
. They were asking me for suggestions.
Besides a Rolex, he was wearing a JLC master compressor this time. Apparently he is fond of big watch based on his wrist size. His wife mentioned that she would like to spend 200k -300k RMB ( 1$ = ~6.4 RMB) for his new watch.
My friend prefers a watch somewhat between dress and sports with a leather strap/band, round dial. I showed him my IWC Portuguese (IWC3717), and he said it was a tad smaller to his liking.
Some background info:
They live in China owing an export business. My friend knows little about watch. He didn't even know how to use all the functions of his master compressor:D. So mu guess is this new watch is more as a status symbol.
