Why isn't it working? - Page 2

hey buddy, good to hear you trying to get in shape. theres some great advice here, you can learn alot on the internet.
i myself used to be an unhealthy fatass for years until recently, i cracked my ass into gear and now i'm a lean mean fat burnin machine and i aint scared o' shit!
i dont need no fancy teachers or classes, i just google some info and make up my own programs/schedules, then its just a matter of wantin to do it. but nobody else can make you do it or make you want to do it, you gotta really fuckin want it, and earn it with sweat and blood.
dont worry about how much weight you can lift, thats stupid. be concerned about injuring yourself- so practice smooth, consistent form and focus, and keeping the maximum reps your able to do at around 8-12 (and maybe busting out 2 or 3 more, if your in that hardcore state of mind),but as to how much weight your actually lifting, dont you fucken worry about it.
i've been using the HIIT (high intensity interval training) method since i started getting into shape, and it worked pretty good so far. dont want to over do it at first, always do a warm up walk for 5 minutes and cool down for 5 after, and always pre/post stretches.
this is how i roll: 1 minute fast walking/jogging, 2 minutes running/sprinting, repeat, repeat,.. then when i get that huge endorphin brain high after 15-20 min of constant motion, i sprint off like a raging crackhead for 30 minutes straight, it feels fucken great!
i think you must to be way into it and dedicated if your seeking fast results.
i found that if i skip just a day of cardio, i'll have a harder time getting out and doing it the next day, and the next, and so on. but if i make sure to do it everyday (at least 1 hour) i'll just keep wanting to come back for more, and so it gets addicting, then i dont have to push myself into it, i just need it!
im going on about 5 months and ive lost over half my bodyfat, not bad considering it took over 10 years to put it on. of course i did have alot of free time to do this. it really has to be your life because it takes so much time. so you might not be as fortunate in that respect.
the way i heard it was you have to eat big, to lift big, to get big. very true words.. i'm constantly trying to stuff myself all day long, even though im not hungry, just to get needed nourishment and energy for cardio and much less the lifting and effective muscle building. i think im barely capable of eating enough in a day because my metabolism is going so fast and my stomach shrunk up somuch.
you should really get into eating healthy, thats probably why you feel like shit. i noticed a bigger difference in the way i look and feel after just a couple weeks of eating only good food, than i did in the 3+ months with the same exercise routines and everything, but without eating 100% healthy natural foods. so in short- you can do all the cardio and lifting you want, but if you eat like shit itll take alot longer to get where you want, if at all.
its not just the faster progress, though. since i started eating real good i feel a million times better, my skin is clean and clear( which i hear reflects your overall health), my attitude is great, always positive and confident..yeah man, life is just the fucking berries.. and even moreso now that ive got a kick ass pair of raws! hell yeah! thanks styleforum.
i recommend you google up some nutritional info and some good food items to stock up on and always have something handy and healthy to snack on even if you arnt hungry, eat at least every 2 hours, and drink lots of water whenever you think of it. the more you eat, the more you need to drink.
you should probably get on an eating schedule and have all the proteins, fats, carbs, calories, etc. planned out for each day and how much you burn a day, what exactly you need a day for maximizing muscle growth, etc.. this is about the only thing i havnt done yet, gotta research that..
welp, i hope this helps, im sure it will. all the best with your progress.
let us know how it turns out.
