Hi all,

Wanted to introduce myself. My name is Jimmy, I´m from Copenhagen, Denmark and mostly into vintage tailored clothes.

I shop at vintage and thrift shops in Scandinavia, and a bit (alot according my girlfriend) on Ebay.

I am on Instagram, same name Todaystie, please check it out.

The photo below was taken for The Journal of Style, which is run by danish blogger Torsten Grunwald.

I am wearing a Malcolm Plews bespoke blazer (found on ebay), a pair of mtm trousers by Spencers Trousers, tassel loafers by Foster & Son and a vintage Burberry knitted tie.

Looking forward to some great conversations and discussions here :)

Hey Everyone,

I'm a grad student in Houston, TX. Some interests include playing sports, gaming (built a PC recently), audiophile setups (Sennheiser 600 & Schiit Stack), and classic menswear, particularly shoes.

I collected sneakers such as Reeboks, Nikes, Jordans, and Converse, yet I have transitioned into the Goodyear (and other) welt realm. Within the dress shoe realm, I own a few AEs and Christian Kimber loafers, but I aim to obtain G&G, EG Dovers, more suede loafers, and shell boots in one life or the next.

I strive to find the perfect fitting dress shirt, acquire my grails, become more knowledgeable about classic menswear, and clearly see my reflection in my polished shoes.

I look forward to being a part of the forum~

Hey y'all!

My name's Ian - I'm from the San Francisco Area, California. Kind of new to the menswear scene, and I don't think my bank account's too happy with my new hobby! I've been reading the forum for a little while but felt that it's high time I actually made an account. Mostly looking to absorb some of your knowledge - I've already learned a ton from y'all by just browsing. Hope to talk with talk with more of you guys around the forum!

Hey,

My name is Shane, or "mrevans". Im new here. Im a young professional who is currently in the process of overhauling and upgrading my entire wardrobe and shoe collection. This includes watches, belts, pants...the works. I also have a growing interest in cigars and just generally fostering a sophisticated, gentleman's lifestyle.

Im in the market for a handfull of well made, mid range shoes--Carmina, C&J, Fitzpatrick...-or higher end--Edward Green, Vass, John Lobb, GG....the Carmina rain last in 9.5UK fits me well. If you have any shoes or boots to sell, PM me please. I really require the full lineup: brown suede shoe, brown/black/burgundy penny loafer, brown/burgundy monk strap, blue suede chukka boot, chelsea? boot, oxford dress shoe, grey suede brogue shoe..

Also in need of sport jackets for all seasons, though it seems trickier to find quality, unlined 'summer' jackets. I'd say im about a US 40L--with long arms. If you have any nice jackets or suits, please let me know.

If anyone would like to share their insights and wardrobe, fashion advice or advice on how to begin a collection and where to focus...anything, please msg me. I'm like a sponge and am of the understanding that this is the right family of people tailored to helping minnows like myself. Im in a position to make a package purchase if someone is also looking to update their wardrobe and would like to make a deal for me to take a number of items

Cheers everyone

Hi everyone !

My name is Gauthier, but most of my close friends call me Got.
I'm French, 22, and I just finished my studies in sound design and I'm looking to work as a sound designer, music composer etc in a multimedia company because my dream is to work in the creative audio department of video games or to make the audio signature of new brands.

On a fashion level, I have to say I'm kind of an amateur as it has been about 2 years that I gained interested in menswear and clothes in general.
Before that, I used to endure a kind of "fashion diktat" established in the south of France (where I come from), and was wearing like a sheep brands and clothes that I didn't like, often too tight, and that didn't reflected my lifestyle.
Those were G-star jeans, and a lot of cheap graphic tees from bizzbee or zara...

Now, my style has quite improved (thanks to french forums where loads of guys taught me how to wear proper basics and develop my style) and I'm into two genres : big balls workwear stuff (Filson, Naked and Famous, Redwing etc), and nordic / scandinavian minimalist or streetwear kind of stuff (Norse Projects, Our Legacy).
I oscillate between these two worlds and mix influences when possible.

Except clothes, my passions are music (electronic, house, jazz, heavy metal, hip hop), fishes and corals, and beer !!
I compose some music too.

Voilà !
I expect to engage some interesting conversations with you guys, and help some people to define their style like I've been helped too.

See you later ;)

Got.

Hello I have been a member for a couple years and never introduced myself.  I love the site and have browsed it often enjoying the great array of fashion.  I live in Pacific NW and have been a bootmaker, leather worker (went broke when i was diagnosed with cancer) carpenter, aircraft mechanic now working for the Big Airplane Company.  I am saving up to repurchase the equipment for boot making and will start back up when I retire.  I currently make custom belts from harness leather that match the rugged boots I like to wear.

Want to post so I figured I would introduce myself.

Thank you,

Steve Barrus

I seem to have unwittingly bucked convention and posted a new thread without first introducing myself. So please forgive my rudeness - it wasn't intentional. I'm 28, male, in Los Angeles, grew up abroad, consolidating and paring my wardrobe down whenever I can but upgrading as necessary and financially plausible.

Trying to step my game up in men's suiting - I've got some good denim, I look good in a white T-shirt, and I finally found sunglasses that I like my face in - but Captain "Got His Shit Together" loses a bit of credibility when he turns up to social functions in a $14 blazer from H&M over his forest green dungarees, and the $15 dress shirts that turn see-through after two washes are wearing as thin as, well, a f--king $15 dress shirt that turns see-through after two washes. Looking forward to absorbing the hivemind's collective wisdom. Thanks for having me.
