Introduce yourself. - Page 191

Hello SF community,

My name is Steve.  After about 9 years of being in the jewelery production business I decided it was time for a change and pursue and build a career around a passion of mine:  FOOTWEAR!

After a year and a half of development, I launched my brand (A.Posse) late last year.  I had 3 separate friends who told me I should check out this site and tap into it's community and get feedback and advice.  So here I am.

As for a little more about me personally.  I grew up in the NYC area so I have been exposed to many different styles and brands through the years.  When I was younger I would adore my Polos, Tommy Hilfigures, Northface, Jordans and Triple 5 Souls.  These days, I still have a spot in my heart for main street labels but I find myself buying from more up and coming labels and brands.

Personally I believe function should take precedence before style.  The fun thing I find is putting these 2 worlds together.  Layering it up in the winter for warmth yet still look fly and at ease.  And In the summer dressing down as much as possible without looking like you are going to the beach.

I look forward to interacting with everyone.

Justin, 27, from NYC. Have long scoured this forum for tips, advice and general knowledge and am far overdue in joining/introducing myself. My current focus right now is getting a tux for my upcoming wedding this year...(have been abusing the wedding threads here doing my due diligence for quite some time). I am happy to officially become a part of the styleforum community.

Hi all.  Douglas, 31, from the Bay Area (California, since you guys might think there's more than one :P).  Seems like a nice place you got here.  I work in the medical/psychology field.  I'm a very athletic guy who's always paid attention to the way I dress, but as I get older I definitely am finding a desire to buy quality above all else.  I'm sick of spending money on stuff that only lasts a few months before having to be tossed.

Footwear is definitely the weak link in my chain right now, and to that end I just picked up some Wolverine 1k's.  Looking forward to getting a lot of use out of them.  As in, I have no other acceptable shoes besides some decent white Pumas for a sportier look.

Other than that, in my freetime I play games (PC mostly), am presently training for a triathlon, and have a number of hobbies from astronomy to storm chasing. :slayer:

Can't wait to get my boots and looking forward to spending some time here.

Hello. My name is Jeremy. I'm from Texas-and i love it. I'm 26 years old, a musician and songwriter with a relaxed life-style, and i'm looking to learn more about life and Men's Fashion.

I grew up a single child even though i have 3 siblings (closest to me in age is 13 years ahead). I was never taught anything about style, expression, and enjoying life really so in my "starting to think about life and realize i'm human" years i'm kickin back, writing music, and being stylish. I'm not married yet so i as i'm "man-ing up" i wanna write beautiful songs, dress great, and find that girl.

Look forward to learning from you guys and getting to know you a bit.

Hi everyone,

My name is Vicky and I'm 43. I came across this site in hope of finding an expert on Ray Ban sunglasses along with many other brand name sunglasses that I would like to sell in the near future.

Hi there, my name is Tom. I'm from Melbourne, Australia, and I make men's underwear. I take a great deal of pleasure in conceptualising and wearing bespoke clothing. I have an unhealthy commitment to handmade english shoes and find the principle of denim jeans off-putting. I enjoy winding down after a solid days work with a few fingers of Speyside Whisky shared in good company.

Hello Everyone! My name is Alexander, been lurking here for some time, just picking up bits of advice and ideas. I live in New Jersey, USA, and am currently a student. I hope I can contribute to this community that helped me understand just what it means for something to "fit" well.

Hello one and all. My name is Shane Jenkins, 34 years old, originally from Charlotte, NC but now reside (temporarily) in OKC, OK.

I have always had a pension for finer things and style but due to my DJ lifestyle I usually ended up drinking most of my extra monies. :embar:

So now I'm no longer in the clubs and looking to spend my hard earned bucks on stuff that I can't take with me, HA!

I'm a bit of a shoe whore (sneakers and dress) and a fan of bowties. After surfing around on here and picking up a bit of info I'm ready to splurge on some fine linens, out of the ordinary home decor...and a better watch. Thanks guys!

See y'all on the threads!
