Introduce yourself. - Page 143
I'm really excited to join this community. I live in Munich Germany but have strong ties to the US, especially the Seattle area.
I'm mostly interested in formal men's wear, and here especially shoes. I love Alden and A&E and I'm curious to learn more about other brands.
One of my challenges is to figure out what works in both worlds. That Alden Penny loafer might look great in the States, but is not ina age bracket of <35 in Gemany. That new slim fit suit might be just a little too tight for a business meeting in the US.
I'm curious to learn and look forward to contribute with my experience I have so far.
Hello, all. I'm Zach. I've been browsing Style Forum, superfuture, and r/mfa for quite a while. SF seems like one of the best communities for advice and discussion, so I've finally decided to create an account. I don't have the budget required for so many of the outfits I've been admiring on here, but I'll start posting my ideas as my education and career advance. Glad to be a part of what's going on.
Hi all, Billy here.
I'm an ex-pat Brit living in Johannesburg, South Africa. I've been lurking on this forum for a good while now and decided I should finally sign up and try to make some contributions....
Decent clobber is unbelievably expensive here in SA, so I spend much of my time trying to find ways to make my old but classic clothing last longer.
Allow me to reintroduce myself, my name is Hov, Oh-H-To-The-O-V, I used to move snowflakes by the O-Z. Just kidding, my name is huh? My name is what? I go by many names. Some call me Chumani Ta-tonka Oh-awa-che, I am known as Mithrandir among the elves, on the battlefield my name Nosferatu Zodd the Immortal. In the 80’s I went by Ch'rell, Oroku Saki, Duke Acureds, the ONE, TRUE, SHREDDER! The destroyer of worlds, and I feared NO-ONE and I love it when you call me big poppa.
Is there a word for forgetting the name of someone when you want to introduce them to someone else at the same time you realize you've forgotten the name of the person you're introducing them to as well?
Im from South Africa and like the poster above seriously battle to find decent quality clothing here not to mention at a good price. Add to that our terrible exchange rate makes importing even more expensive means Im sure most of my fits will be subject to suitable ridicule lol
Hey there! I'm Sam. I moved to San Francisco for college a few years ago, and I've been interested in style for about a year and a half now (it's hard not to be at least slightly interested in style in SF).
I love cashmere sweaters and bow ties. I pretty much live in Levi's.
I'm here to observe, learn, and maybe get some feedback on my style. You're all a very well-dressed bunch and I think I can learn a lot from you!
Hi to all. I'm 25 years old (or will be in a couple weeks) from Vancouver & Montreal. My style hovers from street wear to a jeans & t-shirt kind of look. Being a web developer can take a toll on your style, so I'm trying to step it up. I've always liked styled hip hop clothes but could never find my size or in my price range. I'm liking the cross between urban wear and high end style, seems to be getting popular. I'm also trying to find more unique stuff from overseas these days. I'm definitely not an expert or anything, just came here to learn and share things I find online.
A Scottish , Edinburgh city resident, single 46 year old, never been married, doubt I will, I'm a freelance design consultant mostly interiors, don't judge. I enjoy clothes and making the effort- sometimes I take chances with my attire, I'm usually complemented on looking dapper, I can't say I'm displeased with this description. I always make an effort and feel I'd rather be over dressed than under. Saying that I can be found in jeans and a t shirt on occasion.
