I dress MC style most days. I have learned much in the ways of sartorial things here and still occasionally PM one of the masters for advice. My MC style wardrobe is nearly 100% MTM clothes with some brands like Zegna (shirts) tossed in at random. I really like peak lapels now and had no idea what they were a few years ago. I also do the pocketsquare thing and enjoy dressing a bit better than the average person. Shoes, I'm a let down in that I have a stable of AEs. No seconds but I always buy on sale. I plan to upgrade to at least C&J and Alden in the next year but will still have plenty of serviceable AEs in the shoe rack.

For casual wear I do not spend a lot on denims. When I do wear jeans it is either hot and casual, i.e. jeans and silk shirt, or cool weather and casual, i.e. jeans, AEs, sportscoat.

Since I have basically "peaked" sartorially, and certainly lack the knowledge to give folks advice about that topic, I usually post on political/social issues, food and drink, or generally fun things such as the "making you happy" thread.

I have met more than one member including a love filled night with K-dub. inlove.gif

you should post in WAYWRN mister fancy posts

You just poast at a faster rate than I do. Perhaps you'll catch up. Perhaps you won't. Before Dumb Threads, I was all about Quality Posts. Now look at what I've become.

I'm Neo. A lot of members here think I'm attracted to guys for some reason but I'm not. I can appreciate their handsomeness but it doesn't necessarily mean I like them in that way.

I am FLMM. Despite holding three graduate degrees, and being an attorney, lobbyist, rare bookstore manager, and auditor at various professional stages of my life, I am the resident SF redneck. Feel free to PM me for any questions regarding the manufacture of methamphetamine, incest, culinary preparation of roadkill, and above-the-knee denim wear.

I am unfortunately unschooled in the banjo, as my musical instrument of choice is the washboard. I will consult with my cousin/uncle Bodine and see if he would be willing to compile one. Thank you for your interest.

Utter noob here; figured this was a good place to start posting :)

I have been lurking SF for a couple months, and have been reading style blogs for around a year now.

Now that my school days are behind me, I am working on building a professional wardrobe. Living in Ottawa makes it pretty tricky to find nice styles though. I definitely default to Banana Republic, Club Monaco, and Urban Outfitters for most of my staples.

I used to be REALLY skinny, but have packed on 25 lbs of muscle and fat over the last year by working out, and can now usually fill out a mens size small (which used to always be too big). I have pretty broad shoulders and a small chest/waist, so having a good tailor has made a huge difference. I've been buying suits that fit in the shoulders and getting the body taken in with success. But like I said, still basically a total noob here looking to learn.

My style tends to lean a little on the metro side (not a lot... anymore), simply because I can get away with it (v necks look good on skinnier guys). Any advice from guys with similar builds (5'10, 145 lbs) would be appreciated.

I'm into nautical/classical themes/accessories, and get my hair cut in a tight 60s slick once a month.

Looking forward to dabbling in this community with you classy mofos

New member here, just bought some autumnal neckwear on the classifieds board.  Heavy knit wool and mohair numbers to wear when the weather gets cold.

33 years old, married, lawyer, living on the East Coast.  I prefer bourbon over scotch and do not own a black suit.  When I travel overseas I smoke Dunhill cigarettes (buy 'em cheap at Duty Free), but never in the States.  I have crashed a motorcycle.  I can't stand Cesar salad when it comes without the anchovies.  Big Ten football all the way.  Most recent purchase was a pair of tan bucks.  I was a big athlete when my odometer was lower.  Frozen custard is way better than any ice cream I've ever had, and the stuff in Wisconsin is the best.  Manuel transmission, never automatic.

That is all.

Ernest/Ernie here. Joined styleforum after I happened upon it while looking for a used dress shirt online (Zegna). Recently upgraded to a bespoke navy suit from my old $100 polyester suit. 20 years old, international student from Malaysia and have been studying in the States for 3.5 years. Will be graduating December 2011 and most probably working full time as a mining engineering somewhere in the States here. Proud owner of a manual transmission E36 M3 happy.gif
