Hi im DeionSandals. im a black kid.

Hello everyone, I'm new in here and I thought it would be good to briefly introduce myself. My name is Armando, I'm 25 years old and I'm from Mexico.

I recently found this forum, cause I love wearing a suit or a sportcoat or blazer, I recently found the love to wear this kind of clothes. So a year ago I upgraded my complete wardrobe, back then, I only had one suit, a black Massimo Dutti 130's which I used for my prom.

I love fitness but this has become a big issue. I have a big back compared to my waist (42' - 30'). So when I bought all my new suits a lot of work had to be done. In fact my personal tailor is still wornking on some clothes. I think he has done a marvelous work considering the alterations the suits needs.

Now there is a lot of information in here that I wish I would knew back then when I bought my suits. Especially in this part: "Many highly priced brands (e.g. all but the highest quality Armani, Hugo Boss) sell fused jackets." from this article http://www.styleforum.net/a/what-kind-of-suit-should-i-buy. And that is because I bought all my suits without knowing what was a fused jacket of a full-canvased jacket. So I bought one Armani Collezioni, two Giorgio Armani, four Z Zegna suits and two Hugo Boss blazers, keeping in mind that I wasn't buying the top suits but at least some good quality suits and now to find out it is not, it's quite dissapointing.

But anyway I will open another thread to get the response on "What suits (brand) I should buy?" for later suit/jacket shopping.

Thanks, I will try to participate the most I can.

Kind regards!

Hi everyone, I'm TM. I've recently gotten interested in dressing well after a friend made some "helpful" comments to me. Bought my first pair of Allen Edmonds the other day and I've started shopping at Jcrew and some other nicer stores. I know how I want to look, i just can't afford it yet rotflmao.gif

Hopefully this forum will take me to the next level

Hey everyone. I've been a follower of these forums for probably the last year. I usually just Google'd a question and it would always lead me back to here, so I figured it's time to join officially.

I'm 27 years old, living in western suburbs of Chicago and work in medicine. I've been really getting into proper formal attire, such as suiting and quality footwear for about the past 2 years.

I hope to to learn more about what is of true quality that will last me a good amount of wearing and time. And I hope to participate in discussions when I get the time, thanks!

Hello!

I guess I wasn't very clever with my screen name...

I prefer to be addressed as Nessa; both here and personally.

I'm a Graphic Design student with a penchant for ogling the well-dressed. I hail from

Michigan,I love playing video games, and I'm usually into the fashion students' work

at my school rather than doing my own projects (sometimes).

The community here seems like a good bunch, and I'm excited to break away from

my old stomping grounds and forge some friendships here. I hope you'll find my

company just as refreshing!

Cheers!

Hello everybody, I'm from JKT! nice to meet u all.

Here goes. I'm Stu.  I collect jeans (mostly 501 variants), English shoes (I stayed in Northampton for 8 years - THE BEST PLACE IN THE WORLD FOR THEM!). Most of mine are Crockett and Jones but i have a pair from all the top English names.  I like bow ties (not the fop style that the English wear) but the more neat US/French style typified by Brooks Brothers. Shirts too - the usual for a chap this side of the pond .... New & Lingwood but I do have some Thomas Pink ones (not a patch on the former for quality). But I'm usually in RL shirts.

Hello there, I am a student in Massachusetts. I have been a stalker on SF for many years now, but finally made an account. I know this community to be very friendly and helpful!

I love shoes, and probably have over 30 pairs that I wear regularly (and a few others that I am too fond of to wear regularly!). I also collect fountain pens, with a small but fun collection of Pilots, especially Pilot/Namiki Vanishing Points.

I hope to get to know some/many of you soon!

Good afternoon to all!

My name is Nicolas, made in Paris / France, living in London / UK, recently 29yo. I am browsing this forum since a lot of time but decided to finally join for eventual requests. I am a fan of tailoring since I am 16, but because it is quite "niche", it is nearly impossible to get knowledge of it easily, except theoretical. Despite all my tries, I am still trying to find an apprenticeship into this field.

See you all.

Hello!
My name is Austin and I've been pretty into style and design related stuff lately.  Currently living in Austin, Texas (yeah I get the whole "Austin in Austin!" thing a lot) but most recently Singapore has been my home before coming back to the U.S.  Soon to be 21 year old college student, always looking for what is new and well made.

Later.

Hi there,

Thanks to SF and sites like PrimerMag and Dappered, I really started worrying more about fit and quality rather than logos. Always appreciate a good bargain, ie J Crew Factory, Target, Land's End. Rounding out my footwear lineup (4 pairs of AE's this year, Daltons on the way).

Joined for style tips and intelligent talk with like-minded gents.

Hi, I'm Jeremy.  I like looking good, and the first time I bought a Burberry tie, I decided I really liked nice threads.  I hope to learn much here and possibly collect some choice gear.

Hey,

29 year old businessman in industrial water & waste water treatment from India looking for mostly inspiration and more knowledge about clothes/current trends.

Have been badly criticized lately for my dress sense, so have been a lurker here for the past 6 months.

The range of good quality clothes especially suits and shoes, is quite limited in my area so I mostly shop on line.

I have recently developed a lot of interest in suits & Allen Edmonds and right now I want to know everything.

Look forward to learn & contribute (in my very limited capacity) here.

Thanks,

Jain
