What Unfortunate Event(s) In Your Life Turned Out to Be a Blessing?

I got dumped by my GF as soon as I graduated college and it motivated me to move to California where I met many hotter and more loving women.

Good Lord, man, do you really think being dumped by a girlfriend constitutes a "tragedy"? If that's the case, my life has been incomparably more "tragic" than I had hitherto imagined. To me, having your child die or something like that is a real tragedy--at the very least, maybe having your house burn down with a lifetime's worth of belongings, family heirlooms, etc. inside it.

Happened to me and my family. No upsides to that one.

I suppose I should have used "Unfortunate" in place of "Tragic". I'll make the change.

Failing at school and being bankrupt were the best two tragedies that could have ever happened they actually turned me into a some what more able business man
