Inseam on low rise jeans.

If I were to buy straight leg low rise jeans (jeans that fit below your hip) such as the Levi's 514, and going for the 'stacked' look, would i still need to add 2 inches to my real inseam?

My real inseam measured from crotch down to my foot (no shoes) is 30 inches.

Probably more than 2 inches.

500

I wear pants with a 30" inseam with no break. I also wear a pair of jeans with a 38" inseam (and a variety of stuff in between). I've never been accused of looking like a fool.

If you want stacks, don't get straight leg with long inseam, that looks awful. You need tapered leg.

Yeah, I would agree with the tapered fit for stacking. You'll want a smaller leg opening in order for your jeans to stack better. And length depends on how much stacking you want, I have mine at 33 inseam for some stacking when i should be a 30

How so? Levi's 514 are slim straight, so they look something like this:

Or:

I'm kind of trying to avoid tapered jeans/skinny jeans. They are just so uncomfortable to wear

Yeah, and those look awful.

I wouldn't really call 514s low rise jeans... maybe if you're used to wearing Wranglers. Not really slim either, even though it's in the name.

Want to educate me on what looks good then?

Those look like very minimal stacks. With a tapered fit/smaller leg opening you'll get more stacks. Taken from the APC thread.
Petite Standards:
500

Kid Cudi wearing New Cures: (not quite as tapered as the PS)
500

Another example of a smaller leg opening with good stacks. These are also new cures, but they look a size or two bigger:
500

I know you want a more relaxed fit, these pictures were just to show you how jeans with a smaller leg opening will create more stacks.

N&F Weird Guy - slim, yet roomy in the thigh, with a small enough leg opening (14-15" between fabrics/sizing) to create fantastic stacks.
