Thanks. Yeah, I normally reach for bourbon as well and I'd read that this was a good scotch for bourbon drinkers.

Snagged a case of Old Pulteney 21, just waiting for it to arrive. Any thoughts?

you bought a case of scotch and are just now asking for opinions? or is this some type of disingenuous post?

Isn't the point of this thread to discuss scotch? I have some enroute, wondering if others have tried it. I myself liked the 12 year, but hear the 21-year can be overwhelmingly peaty.

I gotta say it's a little strange to buy a case of something you've never tried, especially something expensive you've never tried. Pretty baller move there.

I'll take a bottle if you don't like it fing02[1].gif

Even more so since he's heard that the 21 can be overwhelmingly peaty.

The 21 is not that peaty. It's very good whisky. Not one I'd buy a case of untasted, but to each their own. You didn't just happen to pick up the 2012 Whiskey Bible did you?

I think it's great. Nothing too complex, just a nice sipper.
