Hi everyone,

New to this forum and love all the info. I want to get your opinions on this shoe. I will be wearing it with all my blue suits (blue to dark navy) with a matching belt, of course :D

Thanks!!!

i wouldn't.

I've found mezlan quality to be not bad, but that is not an attractive shoe and will look a bit off with a suit.

Thanks for your opinion. Any suggestions in tan/brown for blue and dark navy suits for less than $180 (US)

Thanks!!!

hmm, that price is a bit of a dead zone. Its too much to pay for cole haan, mezlan, florsheim, etc, but its not enough to get you into some new AE.

here's my suggest...a set of barely used AE cliftons in walnut:

not sure of your size, but they are pretty easy to find.

if you find the color too light, just add some darker polish

I think so, but like I said, if you think its too light, some brown kiwi shoe polish turns it into a bit more of reddish brown, which I find pleasing.

Does anybody like these?

Thanks

Mezlan is rather unfocused in its designs, from making some really beautiful shoes to some dreadful ones. The ones you posted are not easy on the eyes.

Take Quadcammer's advice and look into Allen Edmonds on sale or Allen Edmonds 'Factory Seconds'.
The seconds will be new but with possible blemishes; nothing to worry about and you'll get a lot more shoe for the money. You may have to be patient when searching for the bargains.

Per some good advice I bought a pair of AE Vernons in saddle brown and am wondering if these will go well with my charcoal suit. I got a GREAT deal, and they are absolutely beautiful!!! Best shoes I have ever seen :slayer:

Thanks!!!

Congratulations on your purchase! Yes, the Vernon is just fine with any suit. Wear in good health.
