My 1st potential ebay problem..... ughhh

So I sold a blazer on ebay. I have 100% positive feedback over 290 items and a member for 10 years. Has anyone had luck winning an item not as described case after provide SOO much detail and also pictures? What do to....??? I tried my very best to explain to the buyer that I go though the painstaking process to measure each and every item I list to the buyer can make an educated purchase and that used items have been altered at least once already for the original purchaser which is again why I provide all measurements. The guys' tailor measured the blazer to be within 1/4" of all the measurements I provided some exactly the same (minus length, not sure).

Here is the basics of the add (there were also 11 pictures including one of the tag pictured below):

I do my best with the measurements but all are approximations.
Size: 48 Regular (Tagged) more like a 46 Regular
Chest (armpit to armpit on back): 23.5"
Shoulder (seam to seam on back): 19.5"
Arm (shoulder seam to end of arm): 23.25"
Overall Length (bottom of collar to hem): 31.5"
Really nice metal buttons

Single rear vent
Fully canvassed
Fully lined

Here is the "item not as described email I get" from the buyer

I had the Blazer measured and except for the Sleeve length, it's a 44R.
Your Sleeves measured 3/4" short for a 44R @ 23 1/4". A 48R sleeve should measure 26".
Your shoulder to shoulder measures 19 1/2". A 48R is 22".
Your Underarm to Underarm (chest) is 23 1/4". A 48R is 25".
Your bottom of Collar to Hem is 31". A 48R is 33".
They don't know why the arms on the blazer are 3/4" short compared with the other 44R measurements.

Based on the ad your wrote you "should" win, but as Spoo said, you won't, so just offer the guy a full refund and hope he doesn’t demand return shipping, too, which he most likely will. This is the new Ebay. It really sucks big time, if you are a seller.

There is also another phenomena going on which is my real reason for replying. I heard this interview of one of the English rioters over the last few days and she said this (I am paraphrasing): "We damaged a bakery because if they own a business they are rich and we want to send a message to the rich."

Buyers on Ebay believe that sellers are rich. If you are selling very high-end items then, of course, you MUST be rich and therefore can afford to ship your item to me at your cost, allow me to look it over, try it on, take it to the tailor to see if he can make it work for me, and then if it doesn't you can afford to pay the return shipping, too. Truly, this is the current mindset and it is destroying not only Ebay, but a lot of businesses. That is my two cents worth!

I just had my first eBay problem as well. I sold a shirt, clearly listed it as pre-owned, said it had been worn, provided pics, etc. The buyer gets the shirt, says there are tiny holes behind the buttons that aren't visible but still "limit use of the shirt," and claims the item was not as described. I argued a bit but in the end decided it wasn't worth the hassle and just refunded his money with the agreement that we would split return shipping. I think what it comes down to it he just decided he didn't like the shirt and wanted to find a way to get his money back.

Can't really beat the outcome! Buyer already left positive feedback and is shipping the item back at their expense. I will refund them when I receive it, minus my actual cost to ship them the item. So anyone want an awesome Maroon Hickey Freeman Blazer, tagged a 48R but more like a 44R? :)

You lost me, but call it whatever you want, anyone want a really nice maroon blazer as per the measurements above irregardless of the tag size!? rolleyes.gif Tossed it back into the Megathread, now if I only had an easy way to keep track of all the B&S postings, thankfully they limited it to 15.

Oh , my bad! I was like huh... Got to love this one though. Guy with 0 feedback and a eBay member since 2010 buys a shirt tonight, pays for the shirt right away, no problem and then emails me that he didnt really want the shirt all in under 5 min... thought this was some new kind of scam, but just some crazy ebayer...

There is no accountability for buyers on ebay. A few months ago I had two auctions with deadbeat bidders. I went through the process and got my auction fees refunded. Recently I checked to see if anything was done on their profile/feedback scores. Nope. The deadbeat bidders are unscathed.
