Do you have any pictures of the additional Lin cable colors you dont have on your website?
On top of my head
Violet
Duck egg (i think thats it)
Slate
Aubergine
Dont show up for me when I press on the link that brings up the lin cable colors.

Also do you know/have an estimate of when the most recent damascus orders will be shipping out for those that had one resevred? (Not a line and raised)

We havent got any good swatch photos of the new colours as yet, sorry - must get this done. Very happy to send a set of thread samples so you can see them in person.

Quite a few of the Damascus belts are done already and the rest are working their way through the order book at the moment. Remind me your order no by PM though and I'll take a look at the schedule

Thanks @Equus Leather i just ordered the samples of lin cable, briddle leather, and rusticalf. I figured at the end of the day the best thing is too just have them on hand.
I am assuming the lin cable sample pak has the newer colors in it also.

No, we only have these in one size at the moment, the 38mm. This is the first run made of this design so we might expand the size range later, no ETA as yet though. The first batch is due in from Japan next week hopefully

Thats sensible - always helps to phsically be able to pair colours to see how they work! The thread samples should have every production colour, likewise the leathers.

Hi Charlie,

I have ordered strathfield belt kit with bridle leather 3 months ago.
Recently, I notice that the belt tend to slide open when I wear it. Is there any way or tips to make it more secure?

The belt hole not so used up until loose at this point of time. Please see attached picture below (I wear the center hole).

Thanks.

Thanks.

This style of belt needs a bit of tension to work well. I wear one everyday now and I literally never find they come open by themselves, but I wear them maybe 1/4/ to 1/2 a hole tighter than I might with a regular belt, which is really comfortable given the design. My first question would be if you are wearing it tightly enough. The only other thing that can go wrong is if for some reason the pin of the buckle is a tiny bit short, but drop me an email or PM and we can work through it together

Charlie,

I'm not sure if it's been discussed before. What are the differences between the Sedgwick and Baker london tan? Is it just Baker has more variations and natural scars? Thanks.

In part its certainly that the Bakers leather has more variation. The Bakers LT is also a warmer colour, its a more honey coloured tone whereas the Sedgwick version is more sharply/starkly yellow when its new. Both age towards a mid brown as they age, the Bakers faster than the Sedgwick.

Traditionally, going back to say the 19th century, nearly everything was made in London Tan, and you oiled with Neetsfoot your new thing, at which point it turned Australian Nut (medium brown) in colour. A fun fact about the Bakers London Tan is its still exactly that leather and it still behaves exactly like that. I make all my personal dog leads and outdoor ephemera out of it and oil them quite hard when their new and they go a lovely colour, become nice and soft and are very weather resistant, its leather from a different time really. You dont have to do that at all, but I love the fact you still can.

Hope that helps! Happy to send samples!

Thanks Charlie. Perhaps I should have gotten the LT afterall instead of hazel as it is different enough from Baker LT.
