Hello Charlie- just ordered a Fillis in Blue and West End in Burgundy without the contrast stitching. Looking forward to it. What's the typical wait time from make to US delivery?

Just came in to say that I'm very happy with both the belts and the service that Equus provides. When I informed Charlie of a small defect in the first Fillis belt that I ordered, he immediately volunteered to send me a replacement belt. He even told me that there was no need to send the original belt back to him because I lived in Singapore.

I just received the replacement belt today, and it is excellent. I'd strongly recommend Equus to anyone in the market for a proper belt.

Anyone ordering their belts should also consider ordering a small bottle of Sedgwick leather feed from them. I found that applying the leather feed to the belts made a significant difference.

Just to help everyone decide their preferred colours, here is a picture of my Equus collection.

Shades from left to right are (and in real life):
-London tan (very light)
-hazel (regular brown)
-Australian nut (darker brown)
-dark Havanna (near black)
-burgundy (more close to burgundish brown than true burgundy)
-blue (near black in office lighting, dark blue in sunlight)

I am in love with the bottle green leather briddle belt. What width and buckle would you recommend for casual wear?

I hope this week to take delivery of my third EL commission - a guards belt which should go well with pretty much everything.

I also have a nut with stirrup and black with SS west end. Having worn the nut with stirrup quite a few times now i can attest to the workmanship and quality of hardware and leather. the leather has developed a lovely patina and is now beginning to conform to my shape. the colour remains rich and deep and the wax edge finish remains as it should .the buckle has lost its original lustre as brass does until polished.

Moreover Dawn who works with Charlie is probably the unsung hero here and she, like Charlie, is completely committed to the customer from start to finish. On the rare occassion I have had to ask for adjustment and these are made without question and any annoying question (always plenty from me!) is dealt with professionally and quickly

I can't recommend EL enough and won't look elsewhere for belts again.

Keep it up Charlie and Dawn (and let me know when the QR comes in pewter!)

I am almost ready to place an order but have one more question. I think I want to go with the stirrup buckle but the stirrup buckle in the pictures on your website look thicker on the dark brown belt than the stirrup buckle on the london tan belt. Is it just me or all the stirrup buckles the same size or does a larger stirrup buckler come with the 1 1/4?

I'm very grateful to have seen your thread and heard about your belt manufacture. Just recently I was quite disappointed by the reply I received from a belt firm called Only Brown: I asked them what they thought of the green bridle belt offered by Manufaktum.
