It appears to be a lovely item. Although, on my "tiny" 23" Viewsonic monitor the cloth almost appears to be suiting material rather than cloth for an odd jacket.

I would expect that this seller knows the difference between an odd jacket and an orphaned suit jacket. So, it must be my monitor that needs replacing!

The auction text also makes some rather interesting remarks about the number of hours that go into the construction of a jacket. It states that Campagna puts 60 hours of work into a jacket while Kiton puts only 20 hours and a typical Savile Row firm puts 40 hours. I've seen the remarks in an interview with Campagna. I wonder how accurate the statement really is? The 60 must be his top line comparing to 20 for Kiton's RTW and 40 for a typical Savile Row bespoke coat.

I was thinking the same thing but from what I found online all of his suits take an average of 60 hours to make unless you get the Caraceni suits which dont carry the Campagna label. I guess thats why he only produces 700 suits a year. I cant imagine how it could take that much longer for construction but what do I know.

That seller must raid billionaires closets or something. Hes always got stuff like that. I think he had an A&S bespoke suit last week. The real question is who would buy a used bespoke suit made for someone else's body?

Kilgour claims that their full bespoke requires 80 hours.

I wonder if that includes union breaks.

Kiton puts in a lot more than 20 hours for starters and I simply don't believe the Kilgour number having seen their work. Savile Row varies quite a bit.

No, there's too good a chance that the suit was cut to adress fit issues unique to the original owner, that can't be reversed through alterations.

+1 AFAIK, there are not many people who actually think that Campagna makes a nice suit, but I don't know that many people.

Do you know anyone that has actually ever seen a peice from Campagna in person? The hour stats are useless but its interesting to hear how long it takes for total construction time.
