Not been able to the past couple days.

Wondering if it's just a setting I need to change on my computer or the site is messed up.

Lil' Help...

Thx

That's us that screwed up. I've been assured that this will be fixed by tomorrow noon. If not, I'll have to start tearing off people's unmentionables.

Having the same issue, anyone have any ideas?

Looks like you got banned from B&S, might want to re-read the classifieds rules

Is it possible to have your Blocked Users' threads/classifieds not show up when you browse B&S?

There are some sellers whose goods I have no interest in whatsoever, but their listings cover up half the front pages whenever they are bumped. I believe others have voiced concerns about these "spammy" sellers as well.

ah, that must be it. I been  cannot seem to locate the classified rule - can you link me? Is it possible to be unbanned?

LA Guy, would like your take on this if you have a minute.

There seems to be more and more people posting an item in the B&S section with an "opening bid" price listed, a description and then a link to the ebay listing with no intention to sell it on the forum. When you contact them to buy the item at the listed price they point you to their ebay auction and was told by one person "Ultimately, I'm posting here to drive more bids to my eBay listing, not to mislead anyone." yet it totally circumvents then purpose of the B&S Classified system.

I can see this posted in the MC thread http://www.styleforum.net/t/177939/what-im-selling-on-ebay-member-auctions/2600_100#post_5639721 but at least in my eyes seems to break the B&S rules especially rule #6, although it does not say set your highest price and you may accept lower offers, technically you could set your price at $1 and accept only higher offers puzzled.gif

6. Please state your terms clearly. A set price must be listed for items. You may be open to offers, but a set price must be listed regardless. If you have a multi-item listing, there must be at least one item at the price listed.

Example Below (name redacted)

I still do not have an answer for this. Been posting this on all the right threads, contacted all the moderator, and even spoke to the admin, yet it remains unanswered. If the answer is I am banned from the marketplace, please give me the reason. I do not believe I've broken any rules. This is frustrating..

If the the B&S set price is not the ebay BUY IT NOW price, then I agree.

I suggest banning ebay (or any auction) links in the B&S forums.

And yet the sole purpose of the post is to mislead.

Is there a way to switch B&S subforums once you create a listing? I inadvertently posted a listing to the general B&S thread, but it belongs in SW&D. Or do I need to delete that listing and create a new one?
In a related question -- and apologies if this is staring me in the face in the FAQs -- what's the best way to post a listing to multiple subforums at once?
Apologies for noob questions, but I'm planning to sell a bunch of stuff in advance of moving and want to get housekeeping out of the way.
Thanks, Peter

Could that option be a possibility? I always do that and once you get into a specific B&S section you're listing is not visible anymore.
I know it's pretty easy to just close the thread and create a new one in the specific forum but it would be convenient for users who like to view the general B&S thread and post an ad from that page.

I have to imagine it is against forum rules to open/close/recreate/close/reopen identical threads to continually bump sales threads to the top? Seems that is a pretty deliberate attempt to manipulate the system.

Obviously if you open, wait 3 days, close, recreate, etc etc you will get banned, but if you make a mistake or after 7 days want to switch subforums you can. Obviously don't try to abuse the system and you have nothing to worry about.
