This is a bug that is in the queue to be fixed.

 

The new system unfortunately does not give that info to Tapatalk. The ability to record a user's last read message is in the development queue.

Premium accounts activate as soon as the payment is received.  Permissions can be cached by your browser, though, so it's possible that you'll need to log out and log back in to see the change in some cases.  Barring that solution, manually clearing your cache should do the trick!

 

1. I have had that happen before, though not on this site. If it happens again, if you could open your History pane (which will probably show a whole bunch of similar URLs, I would think) and give us a screenshot of that, it would really help diagnose the problem.

 

2. Have you had it from anywhere else than a thread? We can't reproduce it so if you can tell me exactly how you can get it to happen, it will help get it fixed.

 

3. The cookie is actually infinite as of a couple updates ago, but various anti-spam programs see persistent cookies as questionable and they might be rejected as a result.  Check your browser security settings and any anti-spam/ad software you might have installed - that's the most likely culprit.

 

The team was not able to reproduce it. If it is still happening, can you take a video or screenshot showing how it happens?

Ah, it's because you are not putting any text between the bracketed URL tags. If you just want to post a link I think you just paste/type it - use the URL tags only if you want to specify what the link text should be.

Really weird!! When I fist open the page for a "quote" I see the stuff in green and the URL is showing up, but when I go to switch the source to bbeditor, I get the stuff in red and the URL vanishes.

In FF5, clicking the "x" in the upper right corner of the little pop-up that lists who up-rated a post 1) does not close the popup and 2) sends your browser to the top of the page.

Still can't scroll this forum without it lagging like hell. I'm on safari. My computer is not 10 years old. Should I buy a new mac just so I can browse SF?

Yes, and while your at it get a PC, not a mac.

No I'm good. Been with PC. Mac owns PC.

This is the only site that is slow for me. It hurts to browse with all the laggy scrolling. I'll see you guys in another month maybe it will actually be fixed.

We are hounding on the speed issues. In the meantime, if you want, try Chrome - the site seems to run best on it. Also, if you haven't yet, clear your cache, cookies etc., and update your browser as much as you feel comfortable doing. That does help in some cases.

bunch of little probs... please help!

1. when people use the built in picture uploader, and I right click save as, instead of a pic file I get some sort of "firefox document" format... *** this might have been fixed I think

2. I can't seem to find the members list anywhere off the header, sitemap, etc. I wanted to check a profile or send someone a PM without having seen a post of theirs recently and don't see this anymore.

3. How to I BCC a bunch of people on a message instead of making it a whole group conversation?

4. In the PM box or reply to thread boxs:
Why is there even a CLEAR option? can't we just either make it small, greyed out, or remove it altogether? I don't see the point.
How come when I'm typing a message, functions like control I, B, U, etc don't work?
In the response boxes, can we please add a mouse-over popup that explains the pic? eg it took me forever to figure out that the black bubble meant spoiler...
also, the color box doesn't seem to work. I thought it would drop down a bunch of colors to select but instead I just get a random color with code FF00AA (ie pink)

5. Can we please move the "new posts" button out onto the main header next to "my posts", it's the one I use most often and it's annoying to go find it in the drop down menu constantly. Currently I have to click on my profile, then all posts to get what I'm looking for.
and a sub point to this, a missing useful feature from the old forum is that within my post, I could see the number of posts in the thread, or some indication if I was the last to post... so can we add some signal, or color code, etc of if my post is the last one? (ie there's no point in clicking to follow up since nobody has responded since I did)
how do I remove my signature from a response? the old system had a box I could unclick...

6. speaking of the 'my posts' button, somehow it doesn't actually display my posts, it just gives me threads I've responded to in the most recently replied to order... not the same thing. EG sure I've posted a comment in the WAYW thread, but maybe it was a month ago, and the thread is constantly bumped to the top... I see how it show the thread with a little option to click 'my last post' but it's not the same. maybe highlight that tab in red? or just revert it to the screen of my profile + all posts. I'd rather the order be MY most recent posts, not most recent threads that Ive posted in at some point.

7. when I report a post, there's this popup that says 'thanks for making this a better place' or whatever, any chance to remove that... it's sort of unnecessary IMO...

8. not an issue but idea... front page real-estate.. I don't know if there's a reason this hasn't been done (eg mobile browsing) but what about moving the red header menu bar up and to the right next to the SF icon? would open up at least a few more lines on the main thread display pages....
also, another thought, have you thought about condensing taht header + menu bar and locking them to the top? if it's just one line of menu, it wouldn't really take up taht much space, plus you could add other sorts of features in there...

9. Profiles...
A) can we move 'your community profile', ie a bunch of useless stats, to lower down or to the side or something and move 'your activity', ie what I actually want to see/use, upwards? or make a public profile different from my personal view of my profile?

10. with adding images, I suspect you want to encourage uploading direct to your server, but I really don't see the need for two seperate tabs/menus to distinguish urls versus pics sine 4/5 of the menu is the same. just put the 'enter from a url' box under the 'upload from your computer' box, the rest (description, save to album, etc) is all the same...

J, any word on if Huddler actually intends to use scripts that execute from the SF domain and not yahooapis?
