Also, as a matter of curiosity, does anybody know how do they ship large purchases like furniture pieces or luggage? I've just ordered a few trolleys, the delivery price is the same as usual - 30 euros for 5 pieces max. I wonder how economic it is for Yoox...

I think the shipping price is built into the cost of the item -- often items are cheaper on their EU sites than their US site. I'm sure it also has to do with taxes and duties, but I think shipping is in there also. 

Thanks, but obviously, shipping a tie or a jacket is cheaper than shipping a chair or a ceiling lamp.

what he's saying is the shipping costs are already built into the sale price.  yoox is a major business and im sure they have figures and charts on how to make a profit on furniture, etc. 

Thanks, got the point. Still it was fun to order one wallet or tie with 10-15 pounds price and have it delivered for free to the UK by UPS and with the option to send it back for free by UPS as well.

ups to the uk is super expensive.  are u sure they used ups?  i had to return some nigel cabourn braces (suspenders) to the uk, and ups charged something like $120!  DHL wasn't much cheaper.  I ended up using USPS which cost around $30.

I would personally not use their preprint labels if shipping back light items, it costs about half as much to ship USPS first class 2-3 business days for things such as shirts, accessories. 

In the UK Yoox delivers with the UPS, or at least did last two years.

Why not use their label? I returned goods quite a few times with UPS, no problems at all, the guy would come and pick it up. Its better than Royal Mail anyhow, not to mention that it is free.

 

ups from the states to the uk is astronomically expensive.  it's basically courier service.  maybe within the uk it's cheap, but not across the pond.

Just to be clear-yoox sends its stuff from italy, so may be its the EU arrangements or something else.
