I'm also not sure, haven't heard it first hand, only from hear-say. But on the other hand, returns are free for where I live, unless I return everything. Then some flat fee is deducted.
This occurred to me once on my second or third order, never realised before that I could only order (from the top of my mind) 10 things in 1 order. Placed an order for 10 things once, and then another one right away for the remaining 2 or 3 items. I ended up returning all items in that second order. Never read the small print until that point.
Whenever a situation like this occurs, I now just split the order in two, and divide the items that I'm relatively sure I'll keep evenly.
I can understand their reasoning though, you don't want to have people ordering 80 items to have a little dressing party, and this keeps orders small and clear.
I think I also return 40/50% It's just hard to get sizing right for brands I haven't ordered before. Whenever I order pants or sweaters for example, I order everything in 2/3 sizes, and keep the best fitting one. So from everything I order double, at least 50% is returned.
