Another positive experience here. Colours and descriptions were very accurate, and I also got one kid's sock as a bonus. If you happened to receive the other one, pm me, we will work out a deal.

I didn't mean to make it sounds like Yoox's merchandise is screwed up, it's just that it's often hard to see on the computer screen exactly what you are getting. With suits, for instance, the fabric is almost always different than I expect, because they don't show close-ups of the material to see the texture and patterns.

I'd say that almost every time I order multiple items, I end up keeping the items I put in as a "throw in" and returning the main items I thought I wanted.

I really meant my post to compliment them on their shipping and returns operations, especially as compared to STP. I'm a big fan of Yoox, but I do make tons of returns.

I agree. I bought a blazer and a shirt from Yoox, and while the colors were fairly accurate, I was concerned about the texture of the fabric, because there was no close up image.

Regarding the color, I recently bought a pair of Incotex chinos from Farfetch, and the color was a little off, although their images were much, much better. It might be worth trying to find the same product from a different site, at least for the more expensive items. (edit: in order to compare colors)

I end up returning more than I keep for two reasons: fit and the texture of material. However, I have found the color and styling described to mostly very accurate. They have always been very prompt crediting me with the return and when one package never showed up from UPS, they gave me a full refund with no problems.

well, i've bought stuff from yoox that ended up being counterfeit. they receive so many returns every day that most likely a few bad apples might get sneaky and do a switcheroo on products returned while yoox receives high volume returns daily and rely on the green yoox security tag and sku and throw it back in the system without thinking too much about it.

Doubt it's hard to re thread the tag if you know what you're doing

Few of the tags I saw could easily be de-linked and re-linked back, without braking the plastics or re-threading the string.

I've just received a pair of shoes from Yoox. One shoe has a thin 8 cm gash on the side and slight discoloration on the toe cap area.
This in fact is the first time I must return something from them as damaged/flawed. So I don't think this will change my overall good opinion of them.
Do they automatically refund the shipping costs (it was 15 euros) in such cases or do I have to ask for it specifically?

I once received a damaged purse (for my wife) with the very apparent cut. I sent the photo to the Yoox and it has very kindly reimbursed it without the need to send this purse back to them.

They used to do it automatically if I left note during return so I didn't check some returns and saw only about half did, probably best to call. Shoe quality is really poor these days almost 2/3 of what I have gotten was nowhere close to new quality

i received a couple of suits that were a diffusion line and not the mainline (which is what they were listed as). it's like you have to battle the get them to refund the shipping. I sent an email, was told they would do it for one order, no response on the second. I just filed a claim with amex.

I bought my margiela boots off yoox and the leather's all cracked and fucked up on one panel... I'm thinking some of the stuff yoox gets is factory seconds / rejects.

As a guy in the business myself -- you have to realize that Yoox is indeed buying stuff from prior seasons that didn't sell for one reason or another, or sometimes never even made it out of the factory. So there are bound to be discolorations, fit issues, etc.... on a piece or two now and again. A lot of the stuff is just overstock or overrun and perfectly fine, but there are other items that come along as well. They are buying in so much volume that it's nearly impossible to inspect every garment for these sorts of things. It's just the nature of the business.
