I think that you probably have the key points.

All four profiles, full length, with and without the coat on and the inside of the coat to show the tailor's attention to detail - and indeed your choices.

Good thread. I recently had my wedding shirt made at Garrison (will have to post pics) and had an awesome experience as well. I deal with J.S. and he was (is) great to deal with.

Yes, post pics please. And if you have time, a short note about the process (how long it tooks, number of fittings, what worked, what didn't) would be appreciated for us Torontonians.

Subscribe to this thread, as I'll be moving to TO in the next couple of months. Important to get to know good tailors in a new city.

I understand that it's not going to be to everyone's taste and it strays a tad from the conservatism of SF. But it fits the bill to what I like in a suit. I'm a young guy, 24 in October and I like the slim fits of the more fashionable lines like Etro and ZZenga. But I don't like the idea of paying $1200 for something fused when I can pay a bit more and have something canvassed. I also like more traditional fabrics/patterns.

So I find myself sort of stuck, I like the cuts of the fashion lines, but I like the fabric/details of the high end lines.

Bespoke is pretty much the only way I could do it. This suit is my sort of homage to Tom Ford, since I can't afford his $3500 suits quite yet.

Forget Tom Ford. I can understand your appreciation for his aesthetic, but if you find a tailor that you enjoy working with, that seems like a much more attractive long-term proposition to me. Getting exactly what you want and being involved in the creative process is much more fun! The fit is also likely to be better than RTW and probably more comfortable, too. You perhaps may not get all the handwork and refinement for the price you're paying, but fit and overall styling probably trump that in my book.

Not sure if its because of the pinned shoulders, but there definitely appears to be some pulling at the button.

Could be, again I'm going for some aggressive styling so it's not cut very roomy. My appointment for Saturday got moved to tomorrow, so we'll see how everything is then.

Do you have the finished suit now?
