Is SF trying to copy the financial times?

I haven't used my desktop in a couple months and I just calibrated my monitor with a colorimeter. Only after did I look at SF. Laptop screen doesn't have accurate color at all.

Is the redish/pinkish background intentional or did my calibration go horrible wrong? happy.gif

Horribly wrong calibration. We made the background match the old background exactly. Check for colorblindness.

Fuck. frown.gif

I recalibrated and it's a bit less bad this time. My monitor is supposed to be pretty good out of the box with good color accuracy.

Looked at the offending bg color and it's supposed to be 245/245/255 RGB. Ugh. Gonna start over... Hate doing this shit.

Thx for answering.

Apparently, using the RGB adjustments on LCD monitors is bad. You should just let the Spyder 3 software adjust the color profile for you instead of messing around with them. Despite the fact that i had the RGB values within .04 (they said to adjust until within .5), i still had a distinct red push on all my light greys..

Anyway... I set the whitepoint target to native on the final attempt and it looks a lot better now.
