Hello,

I'm creating an online luxury store for men and was wondering what would be some great suggestions on goods to sell? I am open to all suggestions and goods. Thank you. I hope you all are having a great day!

I don't know whether you're considering shoes, but you might look into Ludwig Reiter shoes from Vienna.
They're high-end RTW around the price point of Crockett and Jones, I believe (mine were purchased in
Vienna) and they only have one outlet in the US

It seems like the SFers are not too fond of my venture. HaHa. I'll give you a discount though.

I believe that their issue is with your means, I have not looked at your history but I assume that some people are seeing you as someone who joined just to try and get business. I dont have a huge problem with what you are doing, I just hope that you become part of the forum and not just some guy trying to make money off of us. Personally I hope that it works out for you and a discount would be great. lol

best of luck to you and I hope that you get the information that you are seeking here .

Thank you. I joined the forum in 2010. I haven't posted a lot I know but this is the first time I ever suggested of opening a business on this site. If I wanted to join this forum to promote a business I would've done that when I first joined. I even offered to host meetups here in Austin. I have commented on posts trying to help others out. I just find it a little off putting to be met with hostility when I was trying to spark some discussion. I did come here humble but I am not going to let someone trash me when my intention wasn't to try and milk business out of this site. I really enjoy this site it has helped me greatly. I hope to contribute more. Thank you.

@thedapperguru About your website, http://www.thedapperguru.com . What's that 'Wibiya' toolbar thing you got intruding at the bottom of your website? It's making my browsers very sluggish and heavy on CPU resources when viewing your site, Chrome and Safari on Mac. Seems to be trying to connect to Facebook, but it can't. I don't use Facebook anyway.

Hey Guru, Sorry if I came off a little harsh there. The point I was making is that as the seller, it's as much your job to learn the industry and curate a selection of fine good that will attract buyers, some of whom are sophisticated and will understand your selection, and others who just have money to spend. once you've done that, then you can tweak it a little by seeing if there are other brands people want that you've missed (the question you asked). Imagine walking into the GAP and there's nothing on the shelf, and the Sales Associate says 'well, what kind of clothes are you looking to buy?".
I can't do all the hard work for you, you have to look at your competition, see how they're positioned (what they offer and to whom) and then find a spot that isn't being covered.

Now I'm not saying 'hey kid don't bother', just saying that showing up going 'well I want to sell luxury goods, what kind of stuff do you guys want to buy?' strikes me as lazy thinking.I hope that's helpful :)

No Problem I understand. I have been speaking with brands directly I should have stated that in my original post. I am not coming into this blind. But thanks for the words of encouragement.

You've still got that Wibiya Facebook toolbar thing at the bottom of your website Dapperguru. Don't know what it's trying to do, but it makes your site unusable on my netbook and Android phone, and it's quite slow, sluggish and CPU intensive on my Macbook Pro. Maybe better to lose it. It could drive potential customers away if your trying to sell things, especially those trying to view your site with low-powered PCs, tablets and phones.

Maurizio Amadei bags & footwear, Louis Vuitton sunglasses, Kiton suits, Ralph Lauren Purple Label topcoats/outerwear, Moncler Gamme Bleu winter sportswear/outerwear, Lanvin pants, Dior Homme shirts.

Now how are you going to go about getting them?

I maybe able to help here, I have a few useful business contacts on QQ. Good places to start would probably be Taobao, Alibaba, and made-in-china.com, especially for the LV stuff.
