When do girls become women?

And I'm not asking in a biological kind of way. I don't think getting your period makes you a woman. Neither do I think having sex or a job makes you a woman either.

I'm 21 and a recent university graduate and the GIRLS I messed with (only ones available) in college were all either dumb, immature, ingenuine or only went for the athletes.

I ask this question because I'm truly worried whether or not I'll meet a decent, smart and sophisticated woman who enjoys the finer things in life and actually doesn't get caught up in all of the hype.

Is this how it usually is for ladies my age? Is this "college" phase just one that will pass or is my generation of women doomed?

I want to know what you older dudes have experienced.

you gotta define what a "woman" is first.

and if you're worried about the girls that you mess with are all either dumb, immature, ingenuine or only went for the athletes then the problem might not be the whole female college population.

Same time as when a boy becomes a man, when they start taking responsibility for their own actions and life. For some this point comes early in their life, others never take that step.

Around 18 or 19 for girls from countries or cultures uncorrupted by feminism.

Well age wise, it is usually once they have grown a set of hips. This to me is around 27 or so!!

I sleep with plenty of girls and I have no problem with that but I just haven't found a female that I actually like and am impressed by. Maybe it's just me or I haven't been out of college long enough yet.

I'm a sophomore in college and I feel the same way. I feel like girls at my age don't have "substance".... as in they're only in it for the fun aspect of things. I too have messed around with girls at parties. A lot of the girls at my school are attractive, but none impress me at all whatsoever with their sophistication or intellectualism. it seems like all most of the girls wanna do is get drunk and hook up.
