DB Navy Blazer or SB Pinstripe Navy Blazer for summer wedding?

I'm going to a wedding in a few weeks and was wondering what y'all thought would be better with the following ensemble: white linen trousers, pink shirt, green tie. I'm deciding between a DB navy blazer or a SB navy pinstripe jacket. In addition, any recommendations for a pocket square? I'm also open to other thoughts if you guys think this is all crap.

PS: the wedding will not be too formal. I'm sure some will have suits but it is not black tie or anything. It's a late-afternoon wedding, followed by an evening of partying. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

Depending on your age and profession, it can be hard to find an appropriate time to wear a DB suit. If that's the case for you, take advantage of it and wear the DB jacket. Regardless of what people might say, most of the people at this wedding aren't going to be analyzing your outfit - so wear whatever you'd like to wear most.

DB. They're in these days, look great if cut right, and a pinstripe blazer is very, very tricky, since they almost always look like a suit jacket that the wearer lost the pants to. Not to say it can't be pulled off, but it's very, very hard to do so.

I think DB is a versatile suit so I think it's fine although I'd prefer a more muted colored shirt. It really depends on you and what you're comfortable wearing.

thanks for making this thread. I am attending an early september wedding and was in a similar position. blue blazer and light pants, or a grey suit.

White pocket square.

Pinstripe blazer, pink shirt, green tie, etc. probably would be too much, even if the tie is dark and muted or the shirt is pale. Try replacing one element with a neutral solid. Or simply wear the double-breasted blazer instead.
