Has anyone had experience with this? Does quality depend heavily on which location it is and who works there? Was it worth it?

i got one in november, (its actually the suit i posted today in waywrn) at syd jerome in chicago. it came out great. fits perfect. the quality is the same wherever you, its zegna cloth and they make the suit. the most important thing i think is to go to a place that does a lot of business with zegna, so they know how to interpret the measurements properly

cost me a pretty penny but was worth each one. im extremely satisfied.

good luck, go for it! :slayer:

I like Zegna but found prices to be high a few months ago. Not much more money for Brioni, much better quality.

What Brioni body would give you something along the lines of Zegna Milano, though?

I'm fairly familiar with Brioni's Nomentano, but that one has the strong Roman shoulders and full body, so looks nothing like current Zegnas.
Is there a Brioni model that comes close?

BTW, I was under the impression that Zegna MTM is just 15% or so more expensive than OTR.
So going up to Brioni from there would be at least another 60% on top, no?

The Zegna I priced was around $4800 with super 160 or so fabric. Brioni was $5500. I like secolo model-trimmer an nomentano with softer shoulder.

^ this, you can get zegna mtm starting at about 3k brioni closer to 5k

Zegna for $5000? that's couture-level.
I guess one would have to get comparable fabrics in order to compare prices.

could be very high level reg zegna, couture i think starts at 6k +

Depends largely on whether the person taking your measurements is up to the task.

This, in my opinion, is the flaw in their MTM Model: QC at the Zegna Factory, where the actual garment-assembly takes place, may be excellent; but the same cannot be said for QC at the fitting stage, where skill can vary greatly from store to store.

This is from personal experience.

So caveat emptor, mate. Do your research before taking the plunge.
