3.5 seconds left. Awful call that cost the Rangers at least a point.
It was the right call. The impetus is on the attacker to avoid contact.

looked like a reasonable effort to stop to me.

I mostly agree (mostly, not completely...). From the other angle he was obviously being pushed into the goalie. It looked like there was no way he was going to get away unless he would have just skated himself out of the play.

kipper is still a fucking monster and is in the top echelon of starting goalies in the nhl. not quite his vezina form, but he is a massive reason why the flames aren't dead last. i wonder what a team like chicago would give up for him
post #816 of 1656
Doesn't matter because they won't trade him. They actually think they can pull this shit off. It's hilarious. Chicago doesn't want him anyway, they've made their bed in committing to Crawford and they're going to stick that out until it becomes totally untenable.

Im pretty curious to see how ramo does if calgary gets him in the nhl next year. Irving has some promise as an ahler but so did karlsson who is terrible outside of his fist pumping. Still, i see kipper retiring as a flame.no cup for you..

I never wouldve hung on to niemi after 2010 either, and im not super familiar with the cap details, but it seems that letting him walk bit them in the ass a little. Turco was a complete fail and crawford isnt looking any better this year. Ryan miller to chicago!

Sabres aren't trading Miller. He is a beast right now. Sure, they're a bunch of points back of Ottawa, but they have 4 games in hand. It's a longshot but it's possible with the group that's there if they play to their potential and Miller continues as he has been going. I think they stick with the group they have and give it another run next year, regardless.

yeah, Sabres are finally starting to put together a string of a few games playing well. Thank god.

scott gomez. lol

it was a power-play goal too

a bit of a lame trade deadline coming up. anyone who would be available is either going to be a rental (parise) or requiring gross overpayment (nash).

also, i always enjoy a good maple leafs stomping. sometimes i feel bad about the phaneuf trade, and then i watch games like last night and get happy again. what a pylon. i wish the flames would un-suck consistently enough to string something together; they have the tools and top 10 goaltending but for some reason, they always want to shit the bed.

I'm not a Rangers fan but I like when they beat the shit out of Boston. I've really grown to dislike Boston.

+1. jack edwards has made me hate boston more than the actual team itself.

That guy makes me sick. I assume they LOVE him in Boston. Even when a Boston player gets his ass kicked he still somehow manages to win the fight.

It's hilarious to me that people think Parise will be traded at the deadline. If you're a GM, and you're a point out of 4th place in the conference, do you trade a star player as a rental?
