I think the Rangers need to make a few tactical adjustments if they want to beat Washington. The Caps have a similar type team to the Sens, but with more skill and firepower up front (though I think their grinders are not as skilled as the Sens' were). n If we sit back and defend as much against the Caps, we'll get burned, even with Hank in net. I also think we need to respond better to any physical challenges if they happen early in the series. I wouldn't mind having to kill tough "beat your ass down" penalties, or even giving up a few PP goals that cost us a game, if it means we set the tone that we will not be physically intimidated (which I think we were for games 2, 3 and 4). Kreider seems the real sdeal huh? I didn't niotice him stand out this much in BC from what I've watched.
Also want to comment on the Sens behavior (particularly Anderson and Neil) after the game. Classy. Anderson was obviously upset, left the ice, and eventhough he did, and would seemingly be ostricized for it, he came back out to shake hands. Neil also, seemed genuine on the handshake line, especially with the Rangers tough guys, and DelZotto, whom had what was tantamount to an on ice blood fued for 7 games. Also think Tim Thomas showed the same class in the handshakes with the Caps, and then went over to what was an obviouysly upset little kid in the front row to cheer him up. That elevated him to a whole nother level in my mind.
So, round 2, here's what I think:
Flyers 4 Devils 2 (tough but fair series, not like the last one for the Flyers)
Rangers 4 Caps 3 (another nail/finger biter, with a couple of OT games)
Kings 4 Blues 2 (Kings run continues with Quick standing on his head and Doughty being the diff maker)
Nashville 4 Yotes 0 (Mike Smith miracle in the desert ends)
Just grabbed the hockeymonkey 199 special and had them add "Prust 8" as per your reco Gome...how long did the jersey take to get?
