Shut up, moron. You're just another pretender who has never played a second of hockey that calls those who have pussies because they don't like seeing guys get decapitated at center ice. Stevens was one of the worst in history and his greatest 'hits' were some of the most vicious headshots the game has ever seen. Others in this thread obviously agree, and I'm pretty sure they actually HAVE played the game, not just watched it in their mom's basement in Surrey.

I had two live drafts with 12 teams each... I think I made out pretty well.

Doing a pool on saturday with an interesting format. There's no draft but instead players are auctioned off. Everyone has a budget of $100 and we each take turns picking a player to be auctioned.

I used to play hockey, haven't played anything besides pickup in years, but you're just a tool. I mean look at you bitching and moaning through two seasons of hockey threads about any and every hit. Suspend everyone! Suspend everyone! Typical French Canadian hockey fan, can't back his shit up, willing to bet you're a turtler.

And if people agree with you that Stevens is anything but a hall of famer they can get bent. Different eras, different standards.

Just another example of why personal portraits on goalie masks suck. David Arrigo's art style is crappy too. It sucks to say because I like the tribute. I just don't think David Arrigo is a good mask painter.

I never hope the Habs will lose but I could have lived with it today. Great fan turnout in Winnipeg and amazing energy the entire game. Montreal played well though and they should get credit for going into an electric building and winning big. They won't get any, of course.

since the jets played like a houseleague team im not sure anyone outside of price deserves props. the jets were their own worst enemy out there; their pp was abysmal and every habs goal came from a jets fail or phantom penalty (buff on gionta). the atmosphere was great at times but the jets showed why the thrashers shat the bed so hard last season - to say they were anything but mediocre is ignorant. cammy killed the crowd 3 minutes in either way.

that being said it was nice to see them at least get one goal, but for a home opener it was pretty weak.

The Jets have several problems. They don't have a goalie, which wasn't terribly evident in that game since none of those goals were his fault. They have a great young D corps who seem frustratingly hell-bent on not playing D. They have great forward depth, except for the fact that they have no top line forwards - literally no one on that team is worthy of being a top 3 guy. I'm still pulling for them, though.

The Jets are probably a year away from making the playoffs and 2-3 years away from icing a good team. Their goalie situation is still iffy, the don't really have top line scoring (but do have a number of good offensive players) and their defensemen are still too wet behind the ears/undisciplined. I hope they make it this year because it would be great for Winnipeg and its fans, but I wouldn't bank on it.

like i said before the jets pp was anemic and that one pp goal the habs got was from a gift of a phantom call. its your cynical homerism thats all wink.gif. i hope cammy isnt hurt too bad and spacek gets back; dont think you guys need any more blueline injuries.

still cant believe flames let cammy walk...
