Yup. I feel that he was able to see all the shots though. I wasn't happy with the team and the Garden was quieter than a regular season game against Columbus after Spezza scored. They gave us nothing to scream over. Even the "toughness"...if you're gonna take a roughing penalty (Callahan) make it worth it. Punch the guys head in.

What do you guys think about the hit? It was obviously to the head, didn't look like he left his feet, but when Brian Boyle is your biggest offensive contributor, you have bigger problems. I blame Tortarella. First of all, the Sens were clearly playing a left wing lock type of trap after going up one. There were three guys back ALL the time. Yet, especially on the power play, we continued to try to skate the puck in, and then after we realized we couldn't, we'd skate it in, reach the blue line slowing down and then dump it. The players without the puck were all stationary on the blue line so they'd never have a chance to get the puck from the Sens d. But Torarella, "liked everything about how we played". We were shut out...whats to like about our offense? On top of that, every Ranger is scared shitless to take a "bad penalty" and we're playing with a lack of toughness I'd never thought I'd see. The Senators are the only team in the playoffs not playing afraid of anything...not of our toughness, certainly not our power play or offense. Game 2's shenanigans really set the stage, and although I hate to ay it, the fact that there was no Ranger response is why the series turned he way it did. Now we're in a position where we can't send a message. In game 2 or 3, we send a message by gooning up a few of their stars, and if we lose a few pp goals, no big deal, but we would have planted that seed in their team's head. Now its too late for that.
having said that, I think we'll see everybody back at the Garden on Thursday night in Game 7.
Do you think Niel will get suspended for the hit? Caused an injury, hit to the head, previous offender...
Also, what about the Greening play on Gaborik, was it an elbow? I didn't get a chance to see the replay's clearly at the Garden.
BTW, playoff tickets in the cheap section at MSG...this round $75, next $95, ECF $150, SCF, $195 a seat. Cheapest regular season seats next year will be $53 (obstructed view) and $59 for my pops seats (up from $40). This is why I stopped being a Yankee fan...
